Nothing about this series has been pretty of late. I mean, the one up in Durham last month was flat-out ghastly, both teams shooting 35 percent, missing a million free throws (21 for 41 combined) and squandering opportunities. We had the game in our hands late, but bricks and turnovers cost us. The story of the season really.

Last four games in the series: them 53-51, us 64-61, us 59-56, us 59-58. All close ones. I suspect we'll see the same on Sunday. New Hampshire has a way of mucking it up by getting on the glass and to the line.

One guy not mentioned above is the kid Armstrong (actually, he's 23), who I feel like was pegged to be the third guy for them but never could be consistent. He's gone the way of Sturdivant, with his minutes being limited in favor of guys like Hopkins, Ogwuche and Elijah Jordan. Armstrong played just three minutes against Vermont.

Herrion spreads it out pretty well, with Leissner coming in at 35 minutes per game, and six others over 20.

What's interesting is that you look at their shot totals and you have Leissner at 372 for a good reason, then Camara at 200 and Hopkins one back at 199 despite playing 100 fewer minutes. I bring it up because he's shooting a brutal 33 percent from the floor and 29 percent from three. Yuck.

If we win, I believe we overtake UNH for the 5 seed in the AE tournament by virtue of our win over Hartford; UNH has the far easier schedule to end the year so I think they'd take it back. But I don't think anyone's getting too worked up about whether we're the 5 or the 6. But it's interesting that you're either looking at facing the old guard (Albany/Vermont) or the new kids on the block (Hartford/UMBC). I think I'd rather go with the latter, but either way, I'm not very optimistic.

this might not feel like it, but its a big game.  could be the difference between drawing hartford or UA.

Try something different. Start each possession with the ball in Yeboah's hands up top, where he can't be double-teamed and let him create.

Also, start the best five- Yeboah, Olaniyi, UC, Saintel, and Sekuna (maybe not top-five, but best three-point shooter).

We cant lose 3 in a row to end our season . Changes to the  lineup  can only help.

Somebody tell McKenzie to start shooting? Also, looks like Cornish is on the DL, with a sweatshirt on and at end of bench.

How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

here's what i saw- in the first 10min, we built a nice small lead by pounding the ball inside, only taking two longballs.  hitting one.  we shot them without traffic.

then in the next few minutes, we played very little perimeter defense, shot NINE longballs (missing all but one), and found ourselves quickly down at home to 6-7 UNH.

BC is knotted up late with UA down in balto.

Tuning in for the last five minutes here. Kind of liking what I'm seeing. We have a propensity for choking though, so let's not have that happen today. I believe we move up to 5th in the AE with a win.

Best overall performance of the year in conference play. The freshman are coming along and the upper classmen stepped up at the end. A road win at UMBC would be a big confidence booster.

It was a balanced win the new guys are coming along . Yeboah had a terrible day couldn't score kept getting in foul troubles .  I think the refs are watching more than usual  this season.

Big-time effort from the seniors. It was four of them and Yeboah at the end. We are into the 5 spot now; not sure we can keep it though. While we get UMBC and UVM, UNH gets a potentially hungover Hartford team and Lowell.

We were terrific defensively in the last 15 minutes. Ty didn’t fill up the box score but he was a difference maker on defense. Basically Leissner had his way and nobody else did anything for UNH other than turn the ball over. Fourteen of their 19 turnovers in the second half. That’s a season high too.

We saw some good things from Ochefu today too; a couple nice lefty baby hooks and he was active defensively against a pretty good frontcourt.

Cornish ankle injury but minor. I thought Mac and UC played well. I loved Mac’s aggressiveness early, and UC led us in scoring.

How about that free throw shooting?!?! Man, does that make a difference.

saw that ochefu baby hook (lefty) just at the end of the 1st half, was hoping someone else saw that.

whoda thought.  backed his man in, used his size, turned and shot from 1 foot out.

Per the box, it was over 3,000. I don’t know if that many showed up, but Boals praised the crowd in the postgame.

Not sure SBU has gotten many (any?) wins when Yeboah had a below-average night. Some solid defense and free throws makes all the difference in a tight conference like this one. Good win.

Hope folks come out for the last game and make a little noise. Could be fun and undoubtedly the last hurrah at home this season.
