Best crowd of the year by a good margin. 3V well represented.

UVM with some great interior passing. We just don’t do that well or at all. If we are going into the paint, it’s to score.

Where does UVM get points?

Big stretch. Smith and Lamb on the floor and they pulled even. Not a good time to go cold.

Foreman shot selection is an issue.

Ford is a train wreck.   How do your players not know end of game situations and fouls ...time and score...etc...

He’s very poor in game strategy .

8 for 25. It wasn’t that. 10 for 32 from two.

so if i watch the replay, those misses are going to be just behind the arc, after we worked the ball inside, and each hit the rim?  no traffic and landed square on feet?

This game was all about UVM’s role players. For them to beat us by nearly double digits without anything from Lamb and with Smith saddled with foul trouble speaks volumes about their depth. Massive 16 points from Shungu. A near double double from Davis. A couple big threes in the first half by Powell. EDuncan with some daggers late. Even Patella played well. It feels like they made some big hustle plays, especially late. When Smith and Lamb were both out in the second half and Vermont still climbed back into the game, that’s when I started to get that ill feeling.

We had some backbreaking turnovers. And got killed on the glass.

Foreman’s last seven games ...

Twos: 28 for 113 (.247)
Threes: 16 for 63 (.254)

We’ve seen him be much better and we need him. Hope he turns the corner soon.

I do look forward to watching TPP and TSM in the future.

This is one of those real tough times that can arrive in the season. Magically we are still in second place in the conference. Saturday is a must. Hartford, Albany, UMBC to close the season - 3, 4 and 5 in the current standings. How bad to we want it?

Worth noting: If UMBC loses at Vermont Saturday and we manage to beat Maine, we are three games up on them with three to go, with the win over UVM trumping whatever they have in the secondary tiebreaker. Long story short, we’d clinch a first round game at home. Let’s check that off.

I guess you say with your best player out and a little bit more of this and that, SBU pretty much right in that one until things went flat those final 10 mins. SBU simply missed a lot of open shots and layups. UMV probably feels the same. Oh well. Have to think this loss didn't sting SBU much and they have to be thinking if they can get Olaniyi back (even at 80% or so) they can get these guys if there's a next time.

The way things shook out in AE play SBU still in 2nd, and seems everything from 2nd to 7th (although I would assume the UVM win will probably keep SBU on the upper end of any final ties no matter what) is still in play with four games left. How big are those four? How much do you fight to hold on to a home game or two in the tournament, or does it matter much?

And, boy, as Checkmate noted, how UVM can pass the ball! Felt like half their buckets where spot-on interior passes (and bounce passes!) to open teammates. Something to see in this age of 3-ball and ESPN highlight dunks.

Our passing was poor. Too much dribbling and shot selection was questionable use the clock just dont shoot with 20 seconds left on the clock.  Ford has alot of work to do with this team if they are going to competitive.

Just got home.  Great crowd tonight and atmosphere, and a very entertaining game.  We hung with them for 35 minutes or so, and then UVM's lock down defense coupled with some dagger 3's from Duncan, was the difference.  Who would have thought that we'd lose a game when holding Lamb to 3 points?

Garcia was excellent on both ends of the court.  Really locked up Lamb; his physicality was just too much for Lamb.  Really starting to become a TSM fan.  He played excellent on both ends of the court, and is a real pleasant surprise.  We'll need him in the Tournament.  Makale with another poor game - choice of shots getting worse, and his shortcomings as a true point guard starting to show more and more.  Still, he's the spiritual leader on this team, and we will need him down the stretch.  Needs to get his mojo and shooting touch back.

Great news that both Albany and Hartford lost, so we still have a cushion with the #2.  Need to TCB against Maine and Hartford at home.  Heard a rumor tonight that Elijah being targeted to come back for the Albany game; hope that this materializes.  This would be welcome news.

I can't wait for there to be no more Duncans at Vermont. Should only be one left next year with one of them graduating along with Lamb.
