It's a quick turnaround for both teams, but there's a lot more on the line for us as we hope to keep the 2 and prevent a letdown after Saturday's monster win.
Thomas is probably the biggest threat to Woodhouse winning conference player of the year, and statistically, he has a huge edge – he's 3rd in the league in points, 1st in rebounding, 1st in field goal percentage, 2nd in assists, and 4th in steals. That's a winning combo by any account. The one knock on him is Lowell's record. They've been pretty bad and ought to finish in the bottom half of the conference standings. Meanwhile, Woodhouse has been tremendous for a team that has greatly exceeded expectations.
We dropped 11 threes on them in our last meeting, and of our 58 shot attempts in our last meeting, more than half (30) came from three-point land. We really have not shot it well – just 16 for 66 (24%) in our last four games. I've said it before – we can't get nothing from Sekunda and Yeboah in these big spots. We need one or both to contribute. Will the three ball be a major factor again against Lowell? For Lowell even? They went 11 for 24 from deep against us in our first meeting, including five three-point makes by Livingston.
This feels like a 10-point win. Lowell is last in the conference in defense, giving up more than 80 points a game, and I think we find a way whether the threes are going down or not.
