17-2 start.  of course, we are missing most of our lineup.

Giving up 14 points in 5 minutes is historically terrible.

Also it's February! Isn't class in session already? Stony Brook students are also historically terrible.

everyone is pressing us, which is understandable because 1) its on film, 2) we are missing guards, and 3) we have no depth.

also, we cant shoot outside (historically), so the 23 zone plus the FCP means 17-2 start.  its the perfect game plan- so far.

The attendance problem needs an intervention.

Fitzmorris plays 6’5 as a center.

One of the worst starts i have seen and this has been a pattern the last 3 games guys not ready to play. Low IQ defensive rotations not hustling not tough around the rim.

The attendance problem needs an intervention.

this is truly the only issue worth discussing around here. http://sbufan.createaforum.com/around-stony-brook/making-sb-better-idea-thread/

literally every other large state university has this figured out.  including ualBaNy.  and most of the other 63 SUNYs.  and private universities.  and small colleges too.  its incredibly damaging.

when you think of state universities, what do you think of?  i was on campus over the weekend.  and its not that.

Fitz over his defender in the paint should be available to on every possession. Don’t pass out of it until they make you.

Offense is so stagnant with Kaine at point guard. No ones moving.

Heilbron and emrich need to go.

Pikiell used to do so much to build the fanbase and engage the community. I remember hed grab the microphone after every game to thank the fans. Geno does nothing.

i know im a broken record on this one but it's 22-4.  we are 1/8 from behind the arc.

this strategy- if it doesnt work- and id challenge anyone to find me a game where we hit many threes early and beat a good team- means you fall into the hole (see above).  and then what are your options- to take more threes.  of course, those are desperation threes, with short time, and the defense knows its coming and presses out.  lowering the chances youll hit them and catch up.

and so its no wonder we end up usually 8 for 30 or something like that.  and lose.  sometimes, by only a few.  here, have 22 free possessions on us and lets see who wins.

there's no other option.  stop shooting threes, as a strategy, so early in the game, without moving the ball and taking high % shots.  there's no other option.
