This is completely unforgivable. I am beyond words, but nothing more than disgust.

We'll be lucky to host the second round in the AE tourney the way this is going (if we even make it there). We'll need a boatload of help to make it back into the conversation for a decent seed now. Vermont would have to lose another one somewhere and I wouldn't count on that.

This team has quickly become pathetic .  Barely shot 30 % from the floor and 9% from 3 point range.   Add in no defense another weak  game.

OK. I am always the eternal optimist about things, and I'll continue to be so.

This is a young team. They're going to have ups and downs. We had some glorious highs so far, and now, some valleys. It's okay.

We've shot exceptionally bad the past two games - like, almost fluky bad. And our turnovers have skyrocketed in league play.

It can't get worse, and we shouldn't expect it to be. We've seen a lot of good from this team to think that it will.

It would help if Yeboah got truly 100% healthy.

That's all on the coaches.Boals needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with a new strategy on offense. Guys with the ball are getting doubled team in the paint and nobody coming around to help out, thus forcing turnovers. Our deep ball is nolonger a threat, and teams see this on film.

Saturday game against a halfway decent Hartford team is a test to see if Boals and Ford can come up with a new game plan to break away from this slump, or not!!!

I'm just glad I didn't travel 2 hours in the cold through traffic to watch that pathetic performance. Had a bad feeling something like that would happen.

Now to turn things around and get the W at home against Hartford. They were preseason #2 in the AE, so getting that win and keeping in the 1 seed race would be huge.

Agreed. But I, too, think as others mentioned above that coaching was subpar last game. I have no issue with chucking bunch of threes when falling. We just don’t have fluid movement on the floor. Vermont showed us how organized and smooth moves, cuts, screens, passes, patience and shot selection can easily overcome bigger and more athletic team. While our team is young, Boals is a young coach too. He too is learning on the job. Boals already proved that he can recruit at upper AE level. Now he needs to prove that he’s got Xs and Os, has solid game plan and can outfox opposition Coach. I am willing to give him plenty of time to grow.

in other news.  the women are 16-5 and beat UMBC.

some things i'd maybe consider, as a non-bball coach.  maybe start garcia to provide some punch.  get moor on earlier especially if olaniyi is cold.  give kwas a rest against teams we can beat, IF he's really injured.  get the chef back on the floor if otchere is going to make 2 fouls in the first 10min.  generally, shake things up until we are back to normal.

nuclear option- do we look to put someone like long in for cornish, even if temporarily, to cool him down?

I think of late that Garcia has been our best player.  Would like to see him inch up to 30+ minutes per game.  We are a young team, and Latimer has been looking like a rookie lately, Elijah looks like he may have hit the sophomore jinx, and our leader, Akwasi, is only playing at about 75-80%.  Agree on resting Akwasi - maybe hold him out of practices even.  And yes, Chef, who is still raw, was very active for us underneath.  Give him some minutes back.  Having him sit on the pine is totally baffling.

Biggest problem though, IMO, has been lack of a quarterback over the last 5-6 games.  PG is our weakest position right now, as it is up to the PG to set the tempo, drive to the rim and dish, and find the open man.  Not the shot first mentality we have been seeing of late.  If you watch our last few games, it's a bunch of guys hanging around the perimeter, with little movement, and shooting out of rhythm.  We need to establish pace, ball movement, and cutting, to get back to where we were.  Starts at the PG position IMO.  Coach Boals needs to emphasize this moving forward.

You all hit the nail right on the head there with your input. Garcia is playing much better than Olanyi as of late, so put Garcia in the starting lineup and get Olanyi minutes off the bench. He'll still get to play plenty. PG is definitely our weakness and short of shuffling guys around or getting a transfer in here, it'll be even worse next year. Cornish has had some bad games lately, but he's definitely capable of playing well. Not sure we need to cut his minutes just yet. Holding out Yeboah is obvious. After Hartford we've got a long stretch against the bottom of the AE again. Rest the man.

Biggest headscratcher of all is where the Hell is Ochefu?? I'd have asked Coach myself had I been there probably. My mind is racing thinking it's a disciplinary thing at this point.

Yeah point guard play is a concern. I was quite pleased with Cornish even couple weeks ago, but he has been off. With one scholie left, may be Boals can bring in a seasoned grad/juco transfer who can contribute right away next year. I would be more interested in someone who can run the point without turnovers than a scoring PG.

Yes he is.

I don’t believe he’s a 1. GreatK, any insight? My sense is he’s kind of like Iroegbu.
