This team is SOME FUN!!!  The reliable core seems to be Yeboah, Olaniyi and Latimer.  But, they seem to come up with a wild card each game.  For GW it was Garcia.  Last night it was Ochefu, who was surprisingly good!  Cornish was also solid with a ton of assists.

Great that SB is 2-0 but it needs to be kept in perspective. GW this season might as well be in the AEC and South Carolina is rated at the bottom of the SEC. A few years ago SB beat #13 Washington (PAC10), which finished the season in their conference cellar. If SB can get past its first 5 or 6 games without laying an egg, there’ll be reason to believe this team is going places.

I'd love an annual game with them. Why that's not a thing I don't really understand. We should have annual games against UB in every sport possible.

Speaking of Buffalo, according to the ESPN Basketball Power Index, SBU has the third strongest strength of record in the country behind Buffalo coming off of their win last night at #13 WVU, and Texas Southern who won at Baylor (How TSU is #1 I don't understand, but whatever). Basically, through two games, we have the third best resume in all of college basketball. #3 out of 350 is pretty good I say  ;D

We're #23 in RPI right now. Fantastic start. People will keep talking about us as long as week up the winning.

I didn’t realize that SC lost to a D-II in an exhibition. That and this don’t bode well for them. Nevertheless, we went into a hostile environment with a young team and outplayed them more often than not.

The victory has gained national attention for the Seawolves, who have defeated two power conference teams in the span of four days on the road. The Gamecocks reached the semifinal of the NCAA Tournament in 2016-17. In the same year, the George Washington Colonials won the National Invitational Tournament. Legendary sports commentator Dick Vitale even tweeted about the upset following the matchup.

Stony Brook missed its first 18 shots against George Washington, fell behind 22-0, and still won 77-74 in overtime. Three days later, the Seawolves beat South Carolina 83-81 for their first win ever over an SEC opponent. Nobody had a better first week than Stony Brook. Well, except maybe Duke.
