I do wonder how we're going to hang with Vermont if we struggle to beat teams like Maine though. Vermont has been rolling conference opponents by 20+ points every contest thus far.

Barely beating Maine pretty much debunks the whole RPI ratings system (SBU around #50) and explains why it’s not being used.

I guess Boals is stil looking for the memo that Christie is the next Bill Walton!  After his all-star performance of 2 points against Binghamton, Christie has played less than a minute combined against two powerhouses in New Hampshire and Maine.

Also, McKenzie continuing with his mediocre play with no points and no assists against Maine.

Hopefully, next season we don’t waste two full-scholarships on these two players who should be walk-ons at this level.

If Christie is barely playing, where's Ochefu? We have to have a big man who can step in when Jeff gets into foul trouble. Depth at that position is my only real concern with this program long term. That and finding whoever will step up to replace Cornish next year.

There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

Is is me or has SB fallen in love with the long-range three? I saw a lot of Steph Curry range shots today.

actually, i thought this was an ongoing problem until this year.

now, we take less than 30 per game (sometimes low 20s), and we hit sometimes 1/3.

and look at that- we are 16-3.  with bigger wins than weve ever notched.

I didn't mean volume, I meant range. A lot of the three's today were taken from well beyond the arc.

Yeah, definitely a lot of NBA 3's.

Yeboah and Latimer definitely seem to have the green light on 3's from anywhere.  Some of Latimer's yesterday were easily 27-28 feet out.  Like CoB said, I don't mind them as much this year, because they are winning.  I'll take 30% from 3-land any day of the week (hitting 33% from 3 is equivalent to hitting 50% from 2).  Last year, we had Sturdivant and Cornish taking ridiculous moon-ball 3's; not the case this year, IMO.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Good point. Latimer is an excellent conventional college distance  3-point shooter. That pull-up he hits just outside  of the arc is sweet. One of the best in the league.   The problem is when he launches from Steph Curry range.  He seems like a very smart player and I  am sure somebody on the staff will show him a shooting chart of hits and misses and he'll adjust.

'Latimer is still kind of raw .  By the time he is a junior  he will be devastating inside and outside.  He can slash to the rim and hit long 3s  exactly just what we need at what 6'4 or 6'5 .  And our center is another rising rising star. Yesterday Jeff hit 6 rebounds,  11 points and 5 blocked shots and he is still learning.  This is a powerful team going places if Boals can keep them playing.

That's the thing. Enjoy this season guys, because we may wind up being too good for our own good. Yeboah could go pro overseas next year. Boals could get poached for a better coaching gig, and the graduate transfer factor is always an unknown variable. We're in for a special 3-4 years here though if all these guys plus Boals are able to stick around and stay healthy. That's not a given though, especially since this is the AE.
