ESPN Top 10 - # 5 (the Mo Show - 3rd "appearance" this year):

How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

FWIW, pomeroy has VT at 83 and SB at 125 https://kenpom.com/index.php

Kenpom is a  joke if they still have VT at 83 and SB at 125 when SB manhandled VT last night.

Lamb is projected as a Second round pick currently by Jonathan Givony/Draft express of ESPN. He’s best in the business at this stuff. 2020 draft is the weakest draft in the last 5 years. So many question marks. No clear cut number 1 pick. Not a handful of guys you can project as all stars. This is the draft where any fringe pro can make a name for themselves.
Seawolves win the AE title in 2019 😎

I've unfortunately only caught a handful of games this year, but I'm so happy to see Olaniyi find his stroke from three. He's an all-conference guy that has lifted his play to an entirely different level this year.

;D ;D ;D Manhandled might be a little strong, but a heckuva win for sure.

KenPom now has us going 15-1 in conference, with the only loss being a one-pointer at home against UVM. I suspect we'll slip up before then. I think it's clear we're the top two teams in the AE, but I wonder who the next two are? Maybe Albany and Hartford.

My one concern over all this is that we may have peaked too early. Remember last year all those wins we got early, but couldn't manage to finish down the stretch? This is a completely different team, but I still worry about that being an issue. We're currently the top dog in the AE and everyone is coming for us now.

Valid concern, and we need Geno to temper things after this big win.  Long, long way to go.  In retrospect, Boals probably accountable for not focusing our guys against Bing; probably too distracted with his Ohio gig.  Heilbron ought to lock Geno up for a couple of years, by extending his contract, raising his salary (I think he's pretty low by D1 standards at $365k + expenses), and showing the team its commitment to him.  That'll go a long way to keeping some continuity with team, and keeping us focused.

This is just personal conjecture, but my theory is that Boals was way more of a player’s coach than Geno. Just the vibe I get from him not only here, but back at Ohio as well, is that he’s more of a friend than a coach. So I can totally envision how, after starting 17-3, they were all taking it easy.

I think they both have/had players' respect.  No idea on your conjecture, but I think Ford is much more gregarious than Boals, and he's been through the rodeo many times before and knows how to be a head coach, whereas Boals had to learn on the job at SBU.  I like Geno's rotations, play calling and demeanor, and I just don't want SBU to be a launching pad for another coaching jump come the end of this year.

We're always going to be in that position until we're at least in an A-10 level conference. That's just how it is.

Is the A-10 just having a really good year? I thought we were doing great but there are still EIGHT! A-10 teams ahead of us on KenPom.
