The last few weeks have really shown what makes this team so good. Yeboah goes down, somebody steps up. Garcia in foul trouble, somebody steps up. Latimer, Moor, Cornish, Olaniyi ... they've all had their big nights and their off nights, but somebody's always picking up the slack. Need a bucket? It can come from almost anywhere. It's such a contrast from past years when it felt like our bench gave us very little beyond a breather for our frontline guys. It's actually difficult to construct a lineup that flatout can't score.

All that said, our defense was fantastic. Lutete had a very quiet 13, with maybe a couple buckets in the second half, and they got virtually nothing inside. Look at this chart. What an eyesore for UML. https://goriverhawks.com/sidearmstats/mbball/shot-chart. Hey, I'll take my chances against teams that just want to fire away from deep like that. Lowell isn't blessed with talent in the post, but still, 35 three attempts against just 20 twos is not a formula for success. Still, I expect they'll be about a .500 club in conference – and no cinch in the AE tournament – which is a nice step forward for the program.

The stats say a lot: 12-2 advantage in second-chance points, 31-14 advantage in bench points, 34-20 edge in points in the paint, 43-33 us on the glass. And 14 for 14 from the line in the second half. Baked into all those is just plain grit, which we clearly have.

As Old said, real nice minutes from Christie. Two HUGE buckets when you wondered if this was one that we were going to give away. Loved the nice lefty jump hook in the paint!

Great to see Akwasi back on the floor. He looked 100% to me.

Very light portion of the schedule now. There is NO reason we shouldn't be 4-0 heading to Albany in a couple weeks, and hopefully 5-0 when Vermont comes to town on the 26th.
