They're getting every lucky bounce to go in from three. Moreso that Brown got even.

Yes, Elijah with great energy tonight. Need a better 2nd half from Akwasi. Really losing my patience with Otchere; maybe he should come off the bench in favor of The Chef.

Jeff legit made a better tackle on a guy earlier tonight than anything I saw from the football team this year. He's got to calm the hell down.

We have no defensive answer to LIU’s outside/inside game. Right now, beating us badly in that regard.

What a win, after we melt at the FT line. McKenzie with that wild pass at end-I’m assuming we were out of TO’s and he was jus avoiding a 10 second call. Our leader, Akwasi, with an awesome 2nd half. GreT games from Elijah and Latimer. We stole this one, imo.

Holy crap what a win!! Definitely escaped with that one. I had lost hope once we got under 10 minutes. What a way for Yeboah to reach 1000 points!!!

Definitely one of the better games I've seen this program play from a pure entertainment perspective. LIU was hitting everything tonight.

This team is just unafraid, whether winning or losing, at end of games. Never ever gives up. The mark of a great team and some solid coaching. Memo to Cornish: 100 FT’s in the gym tomorrow. McKenzie bailing his teammate out nicely.

9-2 is not very shabby.  This team really clicks  when it has to .  Love seeing  Corey Long  and Jules Moore getting minutes.

Attendance was 2,475 — similar to the Molloy game, another situation where students were not likely readily available to attend

Just a terrific finish for the guys. Right off the bat in the second half, you could see us making a point of feeding Akwasi the ball. Without any inside presence, we attacked the goal and Akwasi was able to do damage with his array of post moves. Soak this in, boys. Who knows what next year brings.

I was remarking to a friend that it's really a coup to have a freshman come in looking to score like Latimer does. I like that his game is so multi-dimensional – stroke the three, midrange, dribble penetration. What a good get for the coaching staff. He's going to have a hard time winning AE Rookie of the Year the way Sessoms is going for Binghamton, but I'm guessing Latimer is the better player pound for pound.

Agosto is some talent for LIU. He is an absolute wizard as a ballhandler and got into the key at will against us. When he wasn't converting himself, he found open shooters over and over, but we were fortunate that LIU came back to earth in the second half, particularly the last few minutes. However, when we brought the press, instead of cutting us up like I thought he would, we got the ball out of his hands and sped the others up. The kid Flowers has such a smooth stroke, but he did us a favor by firing up threes early in the shot clock when they were up double digits. Yes, one banked in, but it like the second (a miss) was still inexcusable.

LIU was 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from three, yet we still won. There are those free throws again – 10 for 12 in the first half, 4 for 12 in the second. Brutal. For us, I'll take 67% most nights.

I lost track of Yeboah's pursuit of 1,000. The trail three was a total "no no no, yes yes yes" shot for me. Glad it went in. If we're fortunate enough to have him for another 50-60 games, can't he reach 2,000?

Maybe the best news of the night was how Elijah looked. Very aggressive going to the rack, active defensively, it was great.

I know the attendance was announced at 2,475, but there couldn't have been 1,000 people actually in the seats. P.S. I'm not that good at estimating crowds, but it was pretty weak. I thought the people who did show did a nice job of bringing us home. Good environment in the last 10 minutes.

Excellent  insight Checkmate.  Even my remarked about the attendance looking a little skimpy .    Hopefully word gets out  for Delaware and Hofstra.
