Hopefully, this means the era of McKenzie starting is permanently over!
He has a total of 0 points in the last three games versus three horrible teams! Yes, a total of 0 points!
The confidence of McKenzie should improve coming off the bench and playing against second stringers! I’m just glad Boals realizes McKenzie shouldn’t be starting.
We all agree, the entire needs to play smarter ball.  The best thing we’ve have going for us is that the America East is extremely weak.

Boggles me that you continue to cite a point guard’s point totals. You did the same with Kam last year. It’s like saying that Sekunda is struggling because he doesn’t have many steals. Point guards handle the ball and control tempo, Kam was in exclusively for his D, and Sekunda for his shooting. Mac was thrust into the lead role out of necessity. I thought he was ready for it but he needs some seasoning. In my eyes, he’s still our steadiest 1, but Cornish is too electric to keep off the court. We’ll see if he can close out games at the point.

In previous posts, I’ve stated McKenzie doesn’t bring any tempo/control to the game.  I actually played PG, so I know whst I’m talking about.  90% of the time McKenzie dribbles the ball down the sideline and quickly passes the ball.  He is obviously very frustrated and lacking confidence, which is why I think coming off the bench might bring some confidence to his game.  So far, I’ve been 100% correct about his game.  There is no way, I want him running this offense for the next 3 1/2 years.  This is nothing personal about the kid because he seems to be a good kid, but he just doesn’t deserve to be a starting point guard at this level.  Hopefully, the extremely weak Conference brings confidence to his game.
After watching highlights of previous Stony Brook teams, it’s amazing how the talent on the 2017-18 team is so inferior to the teams from 2009-16.  Also, the game smarts on the 2017-18 team is the worst I’ve seen over the last decade.  I’m looking for the program to raise the bar, not lower it!

I don't agree with this. And again, I'm sure the players see what is being said on this board. I'd bet most players have google alerts on their names and know what and when they are being talked about. Based on your previous comments, I know you didn't play in the internet age. If you want to help his confidence, stop saying he doesn't belong at this level.

Stony Brook hasn't had a first-year player start at pg since 2009 and the 2009 schedule was the 7th easiest in the country. There have definitely been growing pains at pg this year, but there have been glimpses and it's only going to get better. Anyone remember when Puriefoy started while Jackson was hurt as a freshmen. It was ugly, but he still had a tremendous career. Lets be patient.
