Conference pecking order at start of league schedule
« on: December 31, 2011, 06:08:41 pm »
Based on how the conference has performed thus far, who do you see as the team(s) most ready to get off to a good start?

I am hopeful SBU can continue it's better play. The usual suspects are struggling heading into conference play and the bottom 3 look awful.
It looks as though Maine is capable of some good nights. Vermont will probably end up being Vermont.
Albany has talent. Suero may be the best offensive player in the league.
Boston U. misses D.J. Irving badly. UNH defends but struggles to score ( somewhat like SBU ).
Hartford, Binghamton and UMBC have quite a way to go.

My order...

1. SBU - If they can stop the scoring droughts, they'll be able to beat just about everyone in conference.

2. Albany - very dangerous.  Suero has got skills, and the Aussies are solid.  This team could easily do damage.

3. Boston - Health will be their issue.  Irving and Partin will make or break this team.  Shut those two down and watch BU disappear

4. Vermont - without Evan Fjelds moustache, they need to find consistency.  If Four starts to get the ball more often, they'll be very good.

5. Maine - you know they're going to collapse before the Super Bowl.

6. UNH -  Scoring is definitely a problem, but they keep every game close.  If they can make their FT's, they'll be able to beat any team in
conference.  Most likely they won't, but they'll have a "punchers chance"

7. Hartford - They almost have as many turnovers as fg's.  Probably should work on that...

8. Bing - I haven't read anything about any felony charges this season, so thats a plus

9. UMBC - they've got a great swimming and diving team.
Wolfie 1 - J.J. Jumper 0

Good opener Monday night for sure. A win and then a road game at Binghamton we could be 2-0  by next  Sunday when   Albany visits.
