Any additional word (rumors) on what they plan to do with the last scholarship in this class?  Knowing that they have 4 Seniors in next year's class, I would think they want to use the last one, even if it's on a "project", or someone that they can redshirt....

I feel like we really needed a true pg and true front court player. Now that those two areas are addressed I think the staff will look for the best available player. I wouldn't mind another true big because I'm not sure anyone other than Warney will actually want to play inside.

Another big is NEVER a bad thing for a team in this conference!  Best available is usually the best way to insure that you don't take for "need" and ultimately find out that the young man can't play.....

My vote would be  be for another big man.   Maybe in the 6'7 -6'9 range.  Remember we have Tommy Brenton next year  along with Mayo, Mc Allister, and King.   All should be seasoned by then.  Guards we have plenty of right now including our new recruits.

2012 PF Cliff Cornish just gave a verbal yesterday to High Point, so he's now off the board....

Today is the first day that recruits can sign their NLI.  Does anyone have any info on if/when Warney, Burnett and Puriefoy will sign?

More than nice!  Now to get another big man  and we should be set. With these three and Brenton and Bracey next season we will be tough.

The Statesman has an article on the commitments as well. Adrian Szkolar is doing a great job in my opinion. He's writing articles and asking questions that I'm interested in.

Newsday has an article about Warney and his commitment. He's getting some serious praise.

Yes, they are getting praised a lot. I'm already hyped about the future stony brook seasons. One thing i'm sure about is that Stony Brook wont be in the 6-7-8-9th position for years to come... If they can get the arena together, and sustain the recruiting pattern of today we will remain competitive in this league and thats what really matters. You always want to have a good winning team even if you don't get to the NCAA consistently year by year. Our future seems promising, according to the media atleast.

In the other hand. Sunday is going to be a full day of sports. MBB at 2pm, Mens Soccer at 6pm. The doubleheader should be memorable!

Quick, I was wondering if you've seen the two NJ Hofstra commits Dallas Anglin and Jimmy Hall and how they compare the PG/PF combo Puriefoy and Warney.

I've seen both Warney and Puriefoy play more than once, and they are certainly capable of playing with the top players in the 2012 class.....

Stony Brook was very fortunate to find some very talented players that wanted to play at our level. I'm excited to see how all three do this upcoming season.
