Nobody over 6-10 in the AE amounts to anything. They’re here and not elsewhere for a reason.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I just saw on his Twitter feed that '22 G Toby Onyekonwu (another toungue-twister for us to learn) has committed to the Seawolves.  He recently transferred to Joliest West High School in Illinois, and he is a prolific scorer (36, 33 and 20 points in his first three games there).

The Verbal Commits site has not yet picked up on this, so I'm hoping it's true.  With Jenkins graduating from the team the firepower would be welcome.

Also, we offered Dre Roman, a 6'2" PG out of St. Joseph HS in Santa Maria, CA. That's a GREAT PROGRAM based in central coast of California.

Watched a little video. I’ll reserve judgment. Those are some big numbers in a big-school division.

i just listened to the WUSB postgame with geno, i thought he spoke really well.  he acknowledged that we have trouble hanging on to kids and how difficult the AE ban was on the guys.

he said muratori is a redshirt on the current team- didnt know that- that's always a good thing for player development.  think yeboah.

also nice shoutout to the band!

Recruiting watch list: Tobe Awaka, F, Cardinal Hayes. #00 in your program.

6-8/240. THICK. High academic kid. There's plenty of footage of him/CH on YouTube. He reminds of the kid Paul Atkinson who started at Yale and ended up at Notre Dame ... although I see now that Atkinson is listed at 6-10. I don't remember him being that big. Maybe Dallis Joyner instead? Or the kid who one day played in the NBA?

OK, OK, maybe not.

Even with Muratori and Nahar in the fold, I don't think this would be adding too much size. No inside knowledge but he just seems like a kid we could use. As I've said, guys like this would be pies in the sky in the AE but not now.

First offseason offer goes to Kenan Sarvan, who was an all freshman pick at Coppin State and had a nice year at nationally ranked Mineral Area JC. Looks like a shooter first and athletic for a big guy.

Well, he clearly can shoot from the deep, but is he a good rebounder, and low post man. Hopefully we can grab him. SB needs some bigs who can do it all

The transfer portal is so fascinating. Seasons end and guys immediately put themselves on the market.

Some notable names:
Nick Guadarrama, F, New Hampshire. He's a CAA caliber player.
Qon Murphy, G, New Hampshire. Probably not. He had his minutes cut this year, but he did kill us twice at our place.
Kvonn Cramer, F, Hofstra: Injuries in HS kept him from landing someplace higher. He was all-freshman in the CAA but played only 15 minutes a night this year with Estrada, Iyiola and Dunbar all transferring in.

Need a big who can rim protect and get rebounds. Being able to score would be a plus  and any word on point guards who don’t want to just shoot first. I watched the CAA tourney sure the teams are better as a whole league but we can compete there.

Warney was a 10+ rebound machine. But yeah. Bigs who can rim protect and rebound go to power conferences, or transfer out to P6 as soon as they have a good year in mid major.

Jared Kimbrough entered the transfer portal. He was on our radar out of HS and had a solid career at La Salle before playing a year at Hartford. Numbers aren't much, but if you're talking about adding size and a rim presence that can give you 15 minutes off the bench, or even start, I'd be on board.
