Multi-team event. Not a tournament in this instance. We'll play both FIU and Eastern Washington but it's not like there's a declared winner. It'd be cool to one day play in these actual tournaments in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Brooklyn or what have you.

Thank you! I always hoped for a LI tournament before the CAA move…involving Hofstra, SJ, us and one more. But now that we play Hofstra yearly in conference, no need for that. SJ would have never agreed anyway.

W&M OOC schedule is out. They have home games with Navy, Army and Richmond. I hope, with this CAA move, we can now schedule some home games against A10, MAC teams (UMass, URI, Fordham, Buffalo, even Army).

I honestly forgot about our conference move in the wake of the whole USC/UCLA thing and what that means for college athletics. I got confused not seeing Albany, New Hampshire, UMBC, etc on the schedule lol.

I hope we can still get many of those teams as OOC games. No need to completely cut them out.

SBU has attempted to cut out the AE in every which way they can, including scheduling them as OOC. SH and the athletic department want to make it look like they're better than the AE ever was. That's not to say SBU didn't ultimately schedule one or two schools across all the different sports, but they certainly tried to have zero.

I hate Heilbron just like the rest of you but as a fan that's what I want. Moving to the CAA is supposed to signify that we're better than the lowly AE, so why would we play those lowly schools anymore?

It's time to turn the page and put the past behind us. There's no reason to continue to plat any school out of the AE, unless we have no other choice to do so because of a scheduling conflict..

May be I’m in minority, but I would love to continue to play Albany OOC. They were our biggest rival in AE and wouldn’t it be great to keep that going? Vermont too, which is a very good mid-major program. You wanna play good mid-majors to keep the rpi Net rating high.

I’m very happy that we are out of AE, but I see no reason to not continue playing best of them OOC. I would rather see us playing Albany/Vermont/UMBC than any NEC/MAAC schools.

And as I said above, I really hope moving to CAA means we can now facilitate bringing A10/MAC/AAC schools to IFCU arena.

im with iBO.  we dont want ualBAnY fans complaining that we are ducking them, especially when they are sister schools and somewhat regional.

but then- we'd need to start winning more.
