Per Verbal Commits:

2020 Miami Dade College (FL) G Marques Watson has received an offer from Stony Brook.

Here is his stat page from his juco.  Not hugely overwhelming numbers.

I noticed this as well.  But, then I came across this from the latest couple of games for which I suspect the Seawolves's staff was in attendance:

Congrats to 6’5 Combo Guard
@QuesBucs (aka Marques Watson)
 who totaled 41 pts, (7 - 3s), 5 Rebs, 3 Assts, 4 steals in 2 games 🆚
@NJCAABasketball
 ranked teams:
🆚 #13
@GulfCoastMBB
 25 pts, (4 - 3s), 2 Rebs, 1 assts, 2 steals
🆚 #8
@TCCeaglesMBB
 16 pts, (3 - 3s), 3 Rebs, 2 assts, 2 steals!!

Interesting offer out just recently to juco PG Mardrez McBride. 14 and 5 assists a game at USC Salkehatchie. He hit 53% of his threes. Same basic lefthanded stroke that Policelli has. It looks like he plays a little defense too. With him and a kid who's committed to St. John's this fall, the team went 27-4 and scored 96 points a game.

This video went up 3/17, we offered him 3/18 per VC, and Latimer's out three days later. Doubt there's a correlation but may be striking while the iron's hot.

Per Corey Evans with Rivals, we and a number of schools are in touch with Randy Miller, a grad transfer from NC Central. He averaged 14 a game this year before going down with a season-ending injury.

Elsewhere in the AE, Mark Carbone (Joe's brother) is out at UNH. He's immediately eligible.

The transfer stuff is crazy. UMass evidently cut PG Sean East loose. He wasn't infallible, but a lot of us were really high on him. No ties here whatsoever in HS, but he would be an awesome fit, yet will probably land someplace higher.

The Seawolves just missed out on another really good JUCO prospect who SBU offered.  What makes it worse, he ended up committing to Albany!!  I would really have liked to see Jamel Horton as a Seawolf.

Time is running out to land a really good PG/SG!!

Based on coach webers twitter, I assume someone committed last night. Can't figure out who though.

If true, I'm hoping it's either Drez McBride, DeAndre Gholston or Ty Foster.

The Seawolves still have one open scholly for 2020.  A number of good looking recruits have passed SBU up recently.  But, and offer has just gone out to JUCO SF Meikkel Murray out of Coffeyville CC.  I think he would be a great get if we could land him.  To me he looks like a Mo Gueye clone!!

I like him. Looks aggressive and not afraid to drive to the basket in traffic. Something Stony brook lacked last season.

Sign me up. He played big minutes at school. It looks like he's comfortable putting it on the floor but can also go to work in the post – he can be plenty effective at 6-6 in the America East. He had a little jump hook and an up-and-under on that highlight reel that looked smooth. We REALLY lacked that this year. Also, it looks like he has the athleticism to defend on the perimeter.

Not gonna lie – as he's an Amherst guy, I wouldn't complain if he returned home to play. Mass exodus there. Anywhere but Albany, which is relatively down the street from home.

Although I'd love to see him in an SBU uniform, if he's looking to play right away, SBU may not be his personally best destination.  We're still pretty loaded up for the upcoming year, even after the departure of Latimer and Jeff.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

It appears that 6"9" PF Jaden Sayles is transferring from Akron to SBU.  He hasn't had the opportunity to show much at all at Akron due to a series of injuries in both his freshman and sophomore seasons.  But he seems to have had a pretty good high school career in Cincinnati.  I'll look for some video,  Based upon his past i njury profile, I wouldn't be surprised if he redshirted this season with the Seawolves.
