Hammer, we have a major core coming back. Assuming we stay healthy, and with the addition of some talent, we should challenge for the top spot. Fail to see your negative outlook.

That is how I see it this season. Young, inexperienced team. It will take a couple of years before they get their act together. To be expected for a rebuilding team with a brand new coach and players.

I really don't understand this. Last year this definitely would have been the case, but we get three of our five starters back, and Garcia who might as well have been a starter given the minutes he played this year. That's four out of five positions being pretty solid going into the year I think. The only real question I have is at PG. Losing Yeboah is huge no doubt, but at the same time he was at maybe 50% for much of last season. I don't see us struggling. The problem for us isn't so much that we're worse, it's that everyone else is going to be better. Albany is going to be much stronger this year, and with Lamb back they should run the table in the AE, get ranked, and hopefully knock somebody off in the tournament. It'll take some next level chaos for Vermont to not win next year I think.

With all of that said, this team probably won't have the depth last year's team did. We had 8-9 guys who could legit play last year. If we have 7 this year I'd consider ourselves lucky. I could be underrating the transfers we've brought in though, so time will tell. I don't expect us to win double digit games in the non-conference this year, but a 20 win season an another AE title game appearance are more than reasonable expectations for this team.

Very fair assessment, IMO, VA.  Olaniyi, Garcia, Latimer, Otchere, Ochefu, McKenzie, Christie, Ceesay all back.  Pretty good core.  If Foreman and one of the rookies pan out early, we have our 8 deep.  If Policelli is eligible (still probably a remote TBD), then we have possibly a 9-man rotation.

With Ernie Duncan gone, big loss for UVM; almost as devastating as losing Yeboah.  I think we challenge for the top, and finish in Top 3, assuming we stay healthy.  20 win season is fairly high probability, IMO.  Of course, time will tell with all.

NcKenzie, Otchere and Christie are all bench players with limited minutes. Like I said. This team is going to be raw and inexperienced and i am not expecting much out of them this season. Time is whats needed for this team.
