I'm disappointed in the home schedule. Just five games, and one against a D-III. I have less of an issue with the quality as I do the quantity. Heck, my kids will enjoy putting up 100 on Farmingdale as much as any game we have. We couldn't have gotten Wagner or American here? I dunno. I was hoping for a sixth game. As a whole, it just isn't very appetizing as we're getting set to shell out money for season tickets.

Some excellent road games for us, headlined by Virginia, Providence and Seton Hall.

Huge props to whoever thought to use a Stranger Things theme for the schedule release.

Thanks for posting, Checkmate.  I think the problem is that few want to schedule us at our place if there's a high probability of loss.   Definitely does stink though.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

While OOC schedule is excellent, home schedule is so poor. Couldn’t even find some NEC teams, or NJIT or other low major tristate team to visit? I wouldn’t mind home and home.

Do we really need to be playing D3 Farm State?

As good as a game against the national champs are, I'd have preferred getting another P5 game on the schedule. Will be at the American U game for sure, and probably the Virginia game as well. We have a lot coming back despite no Yeboah, would have preferred the tougher schedule from a couple years ago where we got Uconn, Michigan St., Maryland, etc.

I've come to grips with the fact that we're going to host a D-II or D-III every year. Only once in the last 10 years have we not (2016-17).

I really wish we could get more than the five non-conference games, but looking back, it seems that that's about the average. We've never had more than six, unless you count the 2017-18 season when we had five D-I home games, an exhibition against CSI, and the neutral floor game with Maryland at the Coliseum.

Heilbron tweeted that there's a very long list of teams who wouldn't do a home-and-home with us. I'm sure there's some truth to that, and some correlation with our projected success. Still, when you see the kinds of teams that Vermont got up to Burlington last year – Yale, Bucknell, Harvard, St. Bonaventure, Northeastern – it makes me wonder what makes our situation different.

Precisely. Makes you wonder indeed. If other schools dont want to do a home and home with SB, I can assure you it has nothing to do with them getting embarrassed at their home. Most likely has more to do the lack of attention that school will be getting for that game

To be fair, other AE home schedules more often look like ours this year than UVM's exceptional schedule last year. UMBC fans, exuberant after their NCAA tournament win, were rewarded with Shenandoah, Manhattan, American, Towson, Florida Gulf Coast, Hood and Centenary. UVM the year before got BU, Concordia, St. Michael's, Maine-Fort Kent, Siena and Quinnipiac.

What about Albany two years ago though? Iona, Yale, SUNY Oneonta, Colgate, Columbia, Bryant, Siena, Canisius and Kent State. Nine OOC home games! The year before that, just five. I suppose there are ebbs and flows with this like everything else.
