Loving that non-con schedule. If we're going to play meh schools OOC, they might as well be Ivies and bring (some) prestige. Good gets.  Would like to see us get a Big Ten school on there though.

Virginia game confirmed for December 18 in Charlottesville.

In other news – brace yourselves for this excitement – we will play a "three-game event" in Corpus Christi, TX, against UT Rio Grande Valley, North Dakota State and host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi from November 15-17. NET rankings for these teams last year were 185, 224 and 274 respectively. https://twitter.com/NDSUmbb/status/1144636298143109121

I'm actually OK with this. We can't expect to face juggernauts all the time, and it will be a good test for our squad to go on the road for games that they can win. Yale and Brown at home, at Virginia, Hofstra and Providence, and these three games – not too shabby in my opinion.

Schedule updated above.

Nothing wrong with any of this.  I wonder how we wrangled Virginia, or if this was in the works, prior to the Tournament.

SBB just lost another player. Corey Long is transferring to southern New Hampshire.  I guess that is D2?.

So, how many transfers does that make for SB. 6?

Long announced his transfer months ago. I’m surprised our players are leaving us for much inferior schools. SOUTH New Hampshire? You were just at Stony Brook, dude.

Interesting, that's where Mike Almonacy ended up after LIU-Post closed up basketball shop.  I wish Corry well; really liked his game.

I know nothing about SNHU, but to give up SB diploma for this school is crazy to me. To each his own!!!

Would you say the same about Frankie Policelli? Sometimes guys just don't like it somewhere, or the academics are too much, or don't want to do the basketball thing from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to bed. I know someone who pitched at UConn, decided the commitment was way way too much, and instead had three great years at Dowling. My wife went to a B1G school, hated it, transferred after a semester. Nothing more than that. Nothing wrong with that. Just not the right fit for the individual.

SNHU is a step down in quality of basketball, but I'm sure he'll love playing 30 minutes a game for the next two years, will get a good degree, and go get a job afterward.

I could have sworn SNHU was one of those for-profit diploma mill type schools, but maybe I'm wrong on that.

Nah, you just see their ads on TV all the time. It's a legit school. I went there for Robert Parish/Dee Brown basketball camp there for years when it was New Hampshire College. I don't know what their hoops team is doing now, but their baseball team is traditionally very good.

Norfolk State at Stony Brook December 29. I'm sure it'll be a matinee.

Schedule rounding out nicely. Since he was mentioned above, anyone know yet if Policelli was granted the waiver to play this upcoming season?
