Did anyone have any word on how the Singleton and Kelly visits went?

I must say that I've been amazed re: how active Coach B. and his small staff (I think he's still short one or two) have been in recruiting.  To date, most has been with an eye to the future more than immediate needs.  A large number of offers have gone out for "17, '18 and even '19 recruits.  Although none of them are 3-star recruits to date (although I'm not sure how meaningful those ratings are early on), many seem to be excellent candidates.

My surprise is that until now Coach has not seemed to use his mid-west ties to advantage.  Until yesterday, all his offers have gone to local (or at least east coast) players.  However, as of now he's added a recruit from Ohio for '18 (SF Justin Ahrens).  Looks like he could be a good one.  Hopefully, SBU will have the inside track.

My concern is that given there is still an open scholly for '16 (maybe 2, depending on the the Thrower situation), there is no indication of new candidates on that front.  There are currently 3 open offers from Pikiell's regime.  So, maybe Coach knows something about those possibilities.  One can only hope.  Any insight out there????

Jameel Warney signed with the Mavericks after the Draft as a free agent and will play in the NBA summer league......What makes me laugh is, Diallo, a freshman from kansas, former Our Savior star, who played a total of 30 minutes last season and was horrible gets drafted at #39..  I believe once Warney warms will prove himself in the summer league and will be picked up with the mavericks...

Teams draft on potential, so Diallo probably has more upsides than Warney. By the way, none of the 'Nova players were drafted.

barnes to Princeton, I was kinda hoping we'd get him.

we have an offer out to Dwayne cohill, though at 4 stars, im not sure we get him over UNLV, PSU, OSU, NW, XU, WVU.

weve got 18 offers out for 2017s, zero commitments.  so I am anxiously waiting!

Its only June of 2016  but our coach is aggressive for sure.  We lose Walker and Woodhouse  after this season wonder who else may leave with 18 offers out there.

Thrower announced on Instagram that he's not coming back to Stony Brook next season. So that seems to end that saga..

Hope everything gets sorted out and he lands on his feet.

The game you may be referring to is in the Orlando summer league bracket.  But, I believe that Warney may be on the roster for the Las Vegas tournament of the league, for which Dallas plays its first game on July 9th.
