If Muszynski  commits which I hope that's a big guy at 6"9 .  Saw him at the football game  hanging out with the basketball team . All good signs

I just saw that Muszynski has committed to Belmont!!  All I can say is why??  I can't imagine what advantage they would have over SBU.  If anybody has a clue, please fill me in.
I think Belmont has made the Big Tournament 7 of the last 11 seasons.

Thanks laxnation.  At least that puts a little common sense into the equation.

Jordan McKenzie is on campus for a visit this weekend https://twitter.com/HargravePGHoops/status/781944780947386368

Surprised we're still recruiting guards for 2017, but I hope he enjoys his visit. Our last player from Hargrave turned out to be pretty good  8)

And here it is:
The Seawolves just got their third '17 MBB commitment:

'17 PG Jordan McKenzie (Hargrave Military Academy)  Seems to be pretty good scorer and assist guy.

good stuff!  I see we lost out on sterling manley, knew it was a stretch for 2.5 star recruit that was looking at some big ten teams.  I keep looking for the warney replacement in the frontcourt...

I'm hoping three guard commitments for the 2017 class is an indication that Boals has liked what he's seen from Campbell, Sturdivant and Petras.

Roger that!!  I also felt that getting Manley would have been a real longshot, considering his other offers.  Also, I think that Olaniyi is really more of a SF than another Guard.

But, here's something that make you feel even better.  Another Hargrave alumnus seems to have done very well at SBU---none other than Tommy Brenton!!!  And, the school seems to have an outstanding basketball pedigree.  Check this out:

And both Brenton and McKenzie won state championships before taking a PG year at Hargrave. I can only conclude that we have another AE POY on our hands.

McKenzie is a puzzler for me. He could very well be excellent. I just mean that we'll have him Iroegbu, Almonacy and Long next year. It makes me wonder how Almonacy is adjusting to the college game and whether he'll stick. I thought he was a stretch to begin with, and why fortify the position with both Mac and Long? It just seems strange to be loading up at PG when, at least from my perspective, there are more obvious needs elsewhere. On the flipside, I'm hoping it means we have our shooting guard in Garcia for the next four years.

I definitely agree that pg didn't look like a need area of the roster. My guess/hope is that Boals was comfortable with the pieces in place and was just looking to add the best available player

Well, this may be the piece of the puzzle we were all looking for.  Coach B. just got his fourth '17 commitment:

Anthony Ochefu (6'8" PF) out of PA.  He looks like a good one!!

A great thing to wake up to! Adam Finkelstein called Ochefu and Olaniyi "immediate impact players."

Anthony is the brother of former Villanova standout Daniel Ochefu.

A glimpse into what he brings to the table: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/high_school/20160430_Recruiting__Westtown_s_Anthony_Ochefu_following_in_brother_Daniel_s_footsteps.html

According to the story, we beat out Hofstra, Bowling Green, NJIT, Wagner and La Salle.

good to see he comes with a winning tradition.  and 6'8'' 225 could be a warney in the making- he'll put on some weight over the next year...

we are short on bigs for the future... this changes that, but still need more.

"Tony is a rebounder and defender who can finish at the basket," said Westtown coach Seth Berger, who also coached Daniel at Westtown. "In some of our biggest games he guarded the other team's best center."

the brother- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Ochefu

anyone have video?  cant seem to find...

He's #60 in black here. He's introduced at around 2:05. I admit I didn't watch much of the highlights.
