I saw yesterday that Campbell transferred to Centenary College (DIII), but today not listed as such.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Per Verbal Commits, Alonzo Campbell is leaving the program.

I am not surprised...
I was the first one to predict this would happen - not a surprise that I was correct on this transfer. 😀

When the coach belittles him on meet the team night that's not a good sign. When is my other early prediction of  Almonacy transferring happen?

I'm more excited  about basketball than I am about football .    I think Boals will have a pretty strong team even though they will be young .

I originally felt that Almonacy would transfer out as well, but now not so much... Even though I feel Almonacy is not a Div1 BB player. Coach Boals used Mike quite often last year and just like Petras, he is liked on the team.. Time will tell..

I totally hear you with that. I am a Football guy first over Basketball but, my patience are wearing very slim with this coach.. If his contract is extended or if he gets a new contract I think the days of being a season ticket holder could be coming to an end. I hope that doesnt happen . Our tailgate is one of the largest at SB for someone who doesnt have a child who plays for SB and we really have a lot of fun there.  Maybe that will change in a couple of years. We'll see how it goes.. Our group started with only 4 ticket holders. This year we are up to 16 and on occasions have over 25 people tailgating and watching the game..

There are some people on this board who thinks that doesnt matter to this university, I will surely tell you it does and they are extremely grateful to us for being loyal season ticket holders. And the feeling is mutual...

That was inevitable- the fact that he was basically never used was an indication that Stony Brook wasn't going to be a good fit for him. Really would have liked some front court depth with a JuCo to be honest- a pure defensive presence/rebounder would have been OK. I am super high on Ochefu but would be thrilled if they can add somebody else to provide a post presence. Does not look like we have the scholarship space for that though.

There are 29,413,039 corporations in America; but only one Chairman of the Board.

I took a glance at VC the other day.  Why are there 5 PGs on the roster for next year's team?

They may all be listed as PGs, but from what I've seen of several of them, they are really CGs.  I thinks Boals will make a decision as to who plays the 1 and who plays the 2 once he sees them in action.
