What I get from this offer being out there is that they know someone else is leaving or at least strongly considering it.
Campbell????

I am a horse's ass if Campbell doesn't transfer

This one was misfiled. Rombley has another year left at Indian River State so he's a 2018 fall add in all likelihood. It makes sense that we've targeted him with a massive senior class coming off the books next spring.

Just finished watching the Facebook Live Coaches Show. Kudos to the athletic department for a nicely produced event.

Boals seems very, very high on Olaniyi and Ochefu. He used the phrases "full package" and "contribute right away" to describe Olaniyi, who comes here after an "unbelievable four-year career" in high school. That's a lot of praise. Love it. He also likened McKenzie's vision to Woodhouse and says he can shoot it too. Long is a combo guard who can really shoot. And they didn't think they could get Ochefu but were glad to. Even at 6-8/230, he's "very athletic, can shoot from the perimeter, and will be a big presence for us inside."

SBU played it close to the vest though. In the women's portion, they didn't mention the Wingate transfer, and nothing on Nyama going pro or the incumbents on the men's side either.

I'm really confused!!  I just read that SBU has signed a JUCO PG out of Broward College for this coming season.  Has anyone besides Nyama said their leaving?  If not, I don't believe there are any schollys open!!  And, if there were, why would the Seawolves look for a PG, since they appear to have a couple of good ones coming in, not to mention the continued development of Almonacy?  Does anybody have a clue?

I watched the live feed as well. Was hoping to win a prize, but didn't, lol... I really like the incoming freshman. This team is going to be powerful for a few years to come. I also like the girls BB team as well. Some pretty good talent are coming in with some nice size... Some good days ahead for the mens and womens BB team...

What the? Another point guard??

Here's the tweet: https://twitter.com/coreyevans_10/status/852236345313460226

He averaged 18.7 ppg and 4.5 apg as a sophomore at Broward, along with two steals per. I like the sound of it. I'll bet it's his job to lose in the fall.

Almonacy can't possibly be back.

Well folks, I think we got our new PG with Cornish. Just watching his videos, he looks like a guy who could make a big impact here. Also, he had a WAY more productive JuCO career than somebody like Iroegbu (who only averaged 6PPG in JuCo). 18 PPG with 30+ in the championship game is impressive. I think he will be a great fit for us and really ought to be our PG Day 1. This move really looks great on paper.

What I'd like to see is:

C- Ochefu/Petras/Campbell
PF- Saintel/Sturdivant
SF- Yeboah/Garcia
SG- Olaniyi/Long
PG- Cornish/Long/McKenzie

Might redshirt McKenzie with the depth that we have in the backcourt. I would have loved to have some additional front-court depth.

Good looking lineup  with 7 months to go before our first game.

You left off Sekunda, Iroegbu and Almonacy; I have to think the latter is looking elsewhere now. The writing's on the wall. I could see Long taking a redshirt year. Coach mentioned how he needs to get stronger, and with McKenzie having had a postgrad year, I'd be a little surprised if they tagged him with it.

Very interested to see these newcomers and Garcia. SIX new faces.

Interesting to see what happens to Campbell... I wouldn't be surprised if he transfers, with the likes of Almonacy. I think Sekunda stays in his final year at SB, but will only be used marginally..

Per Verbal Commits, Alonzo Campbell is leaving the program.

I hope he finds someplace that is a good fit for him for the next three years. He can help somebody out. I wish he got a little more run this year but this move isn't shocking.
