I don't have any particular insight into how good (or not) Rojaye Campbell is, but since SBU lost 6 2016 big men they offered to other programs in the past several months, I'm very interested to see how his season at LuHi goes this year. When I looked at his stats they didn't seem all that impressive in any category, especially for a 3-star recruit. So, before the Seawolves get too dazzled by the 3-star rating, I hope they consider some of the other candidates they've offered at other court positions. Their are several pretty good ones that would be good gets for next year.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not denying that we go after a really good PF or C to fill the gap to be left by Warney, but I haven't seen anyone nearly that good on SBU's horizon. It would be a shame to go for a mediocre PF over a very good SF or G. Besides, don't forget about the other Campbell (Alonzo, that is)! Do we really know how good he might be? I'm sure he's been hitting the weight room, and having a 7'0', 240 lb+big man for the next 4 years doesn't sound that bad to me!! Maybe Alonzo is better than Rojaye. I don't know, do you guys?
