Video herehttp://www.msgvarsity.com/long-island/game-replay-uniondale-62-brentwood-57-1.1762439Good find, SBU.I've only watched about 10 minutes of game action and Uniondale's drawn about 15 charges already.I haven't seen Almonacy in person and only watched about a half; maybe I'll catch the rest sometime this week. First impression: There's some real good things there. It seems he got into the lane at will and did a nice job finding open shooters. Pretty shooting stroke. On the flipside, I'll bet if you asked him who his favorite player was he'd say Steph Curry. Played like him; that's not a compliment in this instance. A few looooong threes (OK when they go in all the time), one-handed passes, possessions off, and he was virtually invisible defensively. I didn't like the intensity. Again, first impression, small sample size, but a big spot for him you'd think and I didn't see the gear I was looking for.Essentially my impression as well. I think there might be some growing pains as he learns how to play within Pikiell's system. I still think Thrower can be a very solid AE pg. Between Woodhouse and Thrower, we should be able to ease Almonacy into things.I agree with you on the growing pains with Pikiell style of playing but also think Almonacy will fit right in with practise.. I disagree with Thrower. He is a bench player and should only be used in blowout games next season, if thats going to happen again with Warney graduating.. Thrower looks lost and confused out on the floor..
