I spent some time talking to Bryan Sekunda at the seat selection tip-off event this past Sunday.  He certainly is a heck of a nice kid, and seems genuinely thrilled to be at SBU and in the new arena.  When I asked him about his rehab from surgery, he told me that it has really gone well, and that based upon the current plan, he expects to be playing this year, as opposed to being redshirted.  That surprised me a little, but I'm happy to hear it.

This team appears to be loaded with talent, and it's going to be a difficult and competitive task to get playing time IMO.  GO SEAWOLVES!!!

That   is good news for  Brian  and the team. Playing in the NIT Tip Off  Tournament we are going to play some pretty solid  teams. Need  to win  a few of those games and make a name for ourselves.

Any idea how many season ticket holders there are? Latest I heard was some where in the ballpark of 1k; I could be totally wrong tho.

When I asked during my seat selection time on 6/12, I was told 1,100.

I was told the same thing sbupatriots.. My time is this Monday at 12:15. I was hoping to get seats in section 111 and or 109 rows A to D.. Did you happen to see by chance if some of those seats were open. I need 3 in a row....

FYI, Hammer:  In section 111, Rows C & D, Seats 8 thru 10 are still open
                                           Row B has 7 thru 9 open

In Section 109, Rows A and D both have Seats 9 thru 11 open.

There are still others if you're willing to move another row or two back.

But, don't take my word for it!!  The website is great!!  Just log in, and you'll be able to see the situation in real time up until the time you pick.  Good Luck!!

When I asked during my seat selection, they said they expected well above 1k season tickets sold. Maybe they were being optimistic, but the folks there said close to 1/2 of the seats will probably be sold as season tickets. That's pretty damn impressive.

I got seats in the VIP section...I'm stoked that they've sold nearly 100 seats in this section already.

I already picked  my seats but I watch  the green dots go red every evening. They still have a   week of selection so I expect many sections will fill up.  Pretty impressive if we get 1k plus as season ticket holders.  Back in the day pre  Coach P  you could  expect lest than 300 fans total in the entire arena  visitors  included.  We have made progress  !
