I don't see a win Sunday . Mentally this is our choke season and at Vermont to boot.  I see the Catamounts winning by 10 or more.
Glad you said it Seawolf97 and not me, but I have to agree. I got my fingers crossed for an upset because i really want SB to play Albany in the Championship!!

Stony Brook appreciates your support!
Message boards and Forums are made to discuss and talk about anything and everything  related to your sport. Seawolf97 is entitled to voice his opinion just like you are. In Regards to SB  winning on Sunday, I agree with Seawolf.  I think it's a long shot because Vermont Freshmans bench is deep and our bench is not. If we win this game then I will be the first one in Albany to watch the Championship!!

I'm going into this game knowing we'll be the underdog. Never confident going into Patrick. If our guys play up to their potential we will have a chance. The perimeter defense needs to improve for sure. UVM had so many open looks the last game. Warney can't stop O'Day for some reason- maybe we would do better with McGrew on him? I'm looking forward to the game- hoping for a pleasant surprise.

I would love to see an upset with a win for us and UNH knocking off Albany.  That would the Championship game to Long Island.    This  team like previous teams has mental breakdowns around this time every year that's what scares me . But they have to play the game  hopefully they have it figured out by Sunday afternoon.

Working in both SBU and UNH's favor is that there were no upsets in round one, and aren't there ALWAYS upsets in the AE tourney? I would think it stands to reason that at least one of these teams gets a W in the semis.

Let's hope the forces flying around up in the sky that control these sorts of things are not sleeping this weekend. Oh, and maybe playing a spirited game up and beyond abilities will help, too! Good luck SBU.

I'm going to be optimistic and say it's easy to beat a team twice in a season, the third time is a lot tougher. I think we've experienced this ourselves in previous seasons so may the odds be in our favor.

Gotta love these message boards because they provide a forum for the classic fair-weather fans and bandwagon jumpers. Lose at Vermont...team sucks, players choked, fire the coaches. Win at Vermont...see you in Albany!

What is your point, seawolfmeritus. The majority of posters on this site are veterans. You are the fair weather fan. I think most of us on this Forum are entitled to their opinions because of their moral and monetary support over the years!!!!!!

I'm extremely nervous for tomorrow. I don't know what to say. I don't feel confident... especially playing @ Burlington a place that hasn't treated us well... add to that the fact we played Binghamton to close for comfort and it could be terrible

Which team will show up? the one that beat Pac-12 Washington... or the one that loss to UNH... I'm hoping for the best

Go Seawolves

Regarding fair-weather fans. Most of have been here since this great little website was opened. Don't get fooled. We follow this team to heart. But if things are not going well... we not gonna hide it.

I personally think Pikiell has done a lot of good for Stony Brook, but the program has plateau and we need a bid already. If this year, then I'll be happy and advocate for him to stay. Otherwise we have to start looking for a coach that gets us to the next level... Its the reality of the business of basketball. You invest to grow the brand and get more followers, but you also need to win those significant games

I'm hoping for the best tomorrow.

If Warney can defend O'Day and keep him from scoring, we win. If our 3 ball starts dropping, we win.. It's that simple. We can't be throwing bricks all day long at the rim and turning the ball over... Purifoy needs to be on fire and McGrew needs to play his best basketball.. I really think Warney is the key to today's win and needs to play like the POY that he is, then we could win this!!!!!

... forget washington- even if they play the way they did against albany last time out- that should be good enough for a W.  GO SEAWOLVES
