I screwed up. I thought this game was gonna happen tomorrow. I swear I though it was Sunday. But It seems like i didn't miss out on much. Its a shame that we are losing to teams like UNH. I hope we are not going back to the pre-2010 era. SBU family deserves better. This group of players deserves better. There is a talent... WHAT THE FU*K are we missing?!?!?

I don't wanna hit the panic button... But I can't avoid it. I feel like our season is slipping away... again...

And I don't wanna hear anything about UNH beating Vermont a couple of weeks ago. Doesn't make feel any better

Took this off the Basketball Forum. This fan basically sums it up.. As nice of a guy coack Pikell is he could quite possibly be at his peak and will never get SB into the NCAA. WHY THE HELL WAS HE PLAYING SCOTT KING AND THE REST OF THE DEEP BENCH PLAYERS????

"this what happens when you dont respect teams. SBU did not respect UNH and UNH beat the crap out of them. When you play your 9th, 10th and 11th men this will happen.

The best team in this league plays 8 guys. and is now 8-0. we all talk about how great of a coach will brown but maybe he just knows that to win basketball games you cant play your 9th, 10th and 11th man on the team . Maybe basketball is that simple. just play your best players."

Honestly, its not over till its ACTUALLY over. As pissed as I am we need to realize that it all comes down to the last two weekend of AE tournament play. We learned this the hard way in previous years. But we still have a shot. The guys just need to play harder. Lets get em boys. Beat VERMONT!!

I can't throw the towel in on the team just yet. Saturday game against Vermont will be a good Barometer in deciding the direction this team is going. You can't win a conference and make it into the NCAA when you have one really good player on a team, (Warney) and one decent player, (McGrew) and the rest of the team is horrible. Yes i said it, HORRIBLE!!!  We talk about " next year" but the team remains the same except for Woodhouse playing for 1 year, and who knows how good or bad he is!

There comes a point in time where your head coach needs to step up and take blame for his team. The time is near for our head coach to take the Podium and take blame!!!!!!

I'll be there Saturday, although I have to admit feeling less-than-optimistic. Could be:

1. A week off for physical and, maybe more importantly, mental reassessment does the team good, they come out with fresh legs and minds, play like they are capable, get a decisive win, and return into the conversation as a equal chance among four to win the tournament

or

2. Recent status quo, maybe keep it close in the first half, then too much speed/too many matchup problems, and UVM gets a surprisingly easy win.

No coming back this year if #2 happens, methinks.

And why isn't SB, the AE favorite, not picked to be part of the ESPN3 wildcard games???

Simple... Stony Brook is not top tier right now. Humiliating. the past few years we have been in the top or close to the top so it made sense to add us to any wildcard game. Now? not so much :(

time to prove people wrong!

Yes, somebody at ESPN is paying attention and knows who the top 3 teams are. In the lowly AE, SBU simply not interesting enough to watch right now.

Embarrassing loss overall. Crowd was amazing, too bad they had to watch that unbearable performance.

Looking forward to getting bounced earlier in the AE tourney. At some point, its great that Pikiell turned around this program but its been 10 years now since he took over. I don't even want to know how this team would luck if Pikiell didn't luck into Warney.

Vermont (and Albany) are better coached teams right now.
