There is a reason behind Coach P Madness with all these tough OOC schedule. We are now ranked 60th in Div1 basketball!!

Ironically, the one thing you knew about Mitchell when he signed was that he could drain 3s.

Washington played for 35 minutes.  SB played for 40.  Nice win and it is a harbinger of milestones to come.

I'm really glad for Coach P.

We'll find out if this team has really turned the corner from an average team to a really good one when they play UNH at home this weekend. If they eke out a win by a few points as has been typical, then not a whole lot has changed (despite the great win against UW). If they put UNH away by double digits, it bodes well for the rest of the season.

We can only hope this is the beginning of more great things to come for Seawolves basketball. The past couple of days have surely been exciting and we can only hope they build on this. I'm anxious to see more

Go Seawolves!!

I can't believe New York Times didn't write any thing about our win!!! They had a long article on NJIT after they beat Michigan.

sometimes it just takes that one big win to move things along... hopefully this is it.  weve been so close so many times in so many sports.  for baseball, i think it was LSU (Miami?); for wlax, it was Hopkins; for football it could be Army, Nova?  for mlax, denver.  but weve been so so so close so many times!!!

I can almost forgive the NY Times (although I shouldn't) due yo its more international/national/metropolitan focus.  But, I can't forgive Newsday, which claims to be LI's primary and dominant publication!!!  I couldn't wait to see the paper on Monday morning, anticipating a huge rear page splashed with SBU red and grey and action shots of Kam and Jameel!!  Much to my chagrin, nothing--NADA!!  Game ended to late for Monday's deadline?  How about catch-up on Tuesday as a consolation!!  Again, not a mention!!  Shame on you, Newsday!!

I'm with you on that one IBOsbu. I read "Snoozday" ON MY PC and I was quite upset with the lack of coverage.  Had Greg Logan,  Newsday, been covering the game there is no doubt  a full page article would have been written. ..

You guys don't have any clue the way newspapers work nor did you read the article that was published in the second and third editions.  It has quotes from both coaches and players.

i was thinking the other day will we ever get a back-cover story at newsday.  did we?  for the CWS perhaps?

and lastly i see some talk about how hot UNH is right now... did i miss something?  gave up 73 to Sacred Heart? OT loss to LIU? best win is Colgate???  Boston U?  2-4 road record?  http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/team/_/id/160/new-hampshire-wildcats

I emailed the ticket office at University at Washington and requested a ticket from the Stony Brook game, which they replied by sending 1 ticket to me at no charge.  Nice piece of Stony Brook sports history.  Maybe, I'll get it signed by coach P and give to  iBOsbu.

I kind of gotten into the whole Stony Brook memorabilia thing.  I have 2 game used MLB baseballs: 1 pitched by Koehler (Marlins) against the Mets on 7/12/14, which was a foul tip by David Wright and 1 pitched by Tropeano (Astros) against the Mets on 9/28/14 against Daniel Murphy. Plus, CWS baseball signed by all the members of 2012 team that went to College World Series.

Maybe, I'll open a Stony Brook sports museum one day! ;D
