From what I recall, Scott King has always been listed in the roster as 6'10".  If that's correct, then look at this team photo and tell me that Jakub Petras is not 7'0"!!!!!!!

More breaking news on the OOC schedule for this season.  Based upon this, I would expect the official OOC schedule to be released very soon.

First, the NIT Tip-Off scheduled (strange as it is) looks to be pretty well set (See link below).  It seems a little bit confusing, as the semi-final match-ups at MSG seem like they are already determined, regardless of which teams win in the first round  ??? ??? ???  Also, looks like SBU will be playing on Thanksgiving--not a very fan-friendly option!!

http://espn.go.com/new-york/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/11462624/nit-season-tip-feature-eight-teams-set-matchups

In addition, SBU will be playing at Princeton on 12/6  (Great venue)!! :) :) :)

It looks like the NIT Tip-off Tournament format and teams have finally been resolved.  There are certainly some surprises.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Div. 2) is part of the NIT field.  So, I guess we shouldn't be too upset that we're playing them.  It would be interesting to know how they managed to work their way into the tournament.  The good news is that we'll play them at SBU.

But, the really good news is that somehow SBU managed to wangle playing Western Kentucky at the new arena as part of the NIT tournament.  That, to me, is a really good get, and should make up for any other complaints we think we have!!  Couple that with playing LIU at MSG, and whom could complain!!

What a season this should be!!

this is by far the best schedule  we have  had . We have played some pretty good teams including Villanova, Notre Dame and Indiana but those were  highlights in a rather weak schedule . Now  we play  some pretty respectable  teams  several times .  Love to see what our RPI  will be if we win a  few of the big ones.

Our strength of schedule last year was a miserable 323 (out of 345 teams). Winning 20+ games isn't such a great accomplishment then, so need to toughen the schedule for sure

I love the schedule.  I only have two items that I don't like about it...

Playing LIU-Brooklyn on Thanksgiving (we'll take any MSG game we can get, but I would've really liked it to be any day but Thanksgiving...)

The travel.  Especially in mid-January.  In 21 days, we play 8 games...
@Vermont, home vs UMBC, @Maine, home vs Albany, @Lowell, @Bing, home vs Hartford, @UNH.

I know the league sets the schedule, but thats brutal.  Lets hope our logistical staff gets the travel arrangements right!

Overall, I really am happy with how it looks.  Now we just need to do something with the opportunity.
