Very interesting situation. Clearly he was a plus perimeter defender, and an outstanding rebounder, but he struggled shooting the ball from the perimeter and free throw line. You'd expect improvement in both of those areas though, so to say that it's not a loss to me is just not being objective. However, if there was one position that you had depth it was the wing/small forward. Nyama is bigger, a better shooter, and supposedly as athletic. Clearly he needs to rebound the ball from that position. I would think that your biggest question(s) is who starts in the backcourt with Puriefoy, and who starts at PF. I'm also interested in seeing if Burnett gets an opportunity, and just how much (if any) Sekunda can give you with his length and shooting ability. I'd expect this team to shoot it better than last year's team; Puriefoy, Mitchell, Braley, Nyama, King can all hit the 3, and you must make teams pay for doubling down on Warney. That will be the strategy until you show that you can consistently make them pay. Thrower and Sturdivant are wild cards, and they should be ready by January. I still like your team to contend once again.
