Piekiell took over a train wreck of a Div 1 Program ten years ago. My first game in the old arena was under the former coach . Maybe a 100 people were there on a Sunday as Dartmouth blew us out by 20 points. Our best player was Bobby Santiago the point guard . There major talent issues, academic issues we were on NCAA Probation for that . So he built what you see today over the last 10 seasons including wholesale cutting of players . His salary is about normal for a mid major coach and he runs a clean program academically and socially. Im sure his contract will be renewed this year going into the post Warney era .
