6' 2" guard Wesley Myers from Boys and Girls high school in Brooklyn took an unofficial visit to Stony Brook last week. Myers has offers Miami and South Carolina. It's great to see him taking Stony Brook seriously despite having high major suitors.
I've seen him listed as 6' - 6'2, and as both a PG and SG. It's clear SB has a strong presence in the NY-area, and as the name/program become better known, keeping local talent at home is a must. With the Mitchell commit, you still will probably bring in at least one more guard in this class, as well as at least one big. With the July live period about to start, this is a really important time for all programs, but especially yours considering all the positive publicity you received from your baseball program. It's imperative that you build off that buzz in your recruiting; another class like this year's and the program will be in great shape moving into the new arena (and maybe new conference).
