2012/13: Game 28 - SBU @ Boston University
« on: February 25, 2013, 10:49:44 am »
After clinching another Regular Season title and the first seed of the America East tournament, Stony Brook looks to close out the regular season strong against Boston U and Albany. This will probably be the last game against the Terriers in a long while so lets show them who's the best in this league. GO SEAWOLVES!

This game is going to be a tough one.  BU's last ever AE game, senior night (although their only two seniors don't play much) , and we embarrassed them at Pritchard.  As much as we want to show them who is the boss now they will sure want to beat us one more time heading out the door.

All that said with the way we are playing I feel confident.  It will also be a good hard test heading towards the conference tournament.

Hopefully we can finish out the road season strong and get home for what should be a great day next Sunday!!!

CBS Bracketology has us down one seed to #15. Of course that's just one man's opinion, but beating BU and Albany should solidify us back at #14.

ESPN's bracketology has us at 14 vs New Mexico... not bad... not bad. Is there any chance at all that we can climb to #13 if we win out?

I asked that same question on this board recently and someone said it was very unlikely even if we win out .... 13 seed is better then 14 .. Lets get through  the playoffs first..

If we had just ONE signature win....beating Seton Hall might have done it...I think #13 would be possible. Without a big win, I don't think it is.

I just read on the AE boards that since this is Senior night and BU's last ever AE game, as well as their last game of this season, they are playing in Agganis for the first time this year.  They have played all their other home games in Case.  I think that turns the tables in our favor.  We match up very will with them,  Our guards are just as athletic as theirs are and we dominate them inside.  SB by 12.

Tomorrows Game is probably one of the most important game of the season for SB... We must and I mean MUST leave boston with a W. I also think Tomorrows game is a testament of the AE Championship series..  Final score.

SB-----W

BU-----L

This is an important game no doubt, but THE MOST important game of the season would be the AE tourney Final at Pritt!

Im getting carried away now.  Suckered my brother into going.  Four hours there by mapquest.  He's a teacher - out of school and on the road by 2:15 - gotta beat the Hartford traffic.  I love the way we match up with this team.  They talk about their great guards - well there's may be better scorers but ours are every bit as athletic.  Dom Morris inside is good for them, but he is no Jameel.  They cannot match up at all with Tommy or any of our 4's.  We just matchup real real well with this team.

That would be great!  You took away my chance at Martyrdom though - you are easily traveling four times farther than me.  lol

I'm dissapointed. Me and my friends got shut out of Sunday's game. Albany game sold out three weeks ago and we didn't know. We were looking for tickets since monday and no luck. No tickets on stubhub yet. If anyone has an extra ticket for the SBU vs Albany finale please let me know and i'll pay up. This is depressing. I'm starting to hate Pritchard Gym. Next year I'll be a season ticket holder for sure
