This should be a very interesting game, as it's basically two teams with very, very different styles of play. Rutgers wants to make it a 94 foot game, while you guys want to control the tempo and not take rushed shots (like you did in the 1st half against BC). However, something tells me that RU pressing and trapping may actually lead to some easy shot opportunities (IF you handle the pressure well), and that can be a good thing. Turnovers and rebounding (no need to mention that Hayes/Dougher/Jackson must shoot well) tell the story, on both sides. I've seen at least 3 Rutgers games this year, and they are very young and can be quite undisciplined. They take bad shots, make poor decisions, and at times look like a bad AAU team. However, they have very talented, if young players, and in Biruta they have a very big/strong interior player (he is prone to get into foul trouble though). They like to play a lot of 3 guard offense, which helps you in the matchups, and hopefully Brenton and Bracey are able to do some things.....speaking of Brenton, perhaps everyone is being a bit too hard on him. The reality is that he basically sat for a year without playing, and to think that he will come right back and be what he was is just not realistic. I think what you should hope is that by the middle of the conference season he starts to show some of his old skills, and that he is back to the same (or as close as possible) player he was before the injury by the start of next year's season. IMO, keys to the game are how you handle the press (turnovers), defense, and shot selection. I can't believe that Hayes will continue to miss open jump shots, and sooner or later, Bracey will begin to feel comfortable on offense.....
