Redwyn,

- The AE scheduling requirements are NOT NEARLY AS RESTRICTIVE as you say they are. It's more like a few guild-lines instead of what many of the other better conferences have. I'll try to dig up the information I posted several years ago when they were first enacted but they are fairly lax. For crying out loud, we have MULTIPLE AE teams playing DII teams IN season. That's a freaking joke...start there if you want to stop embarrassing the AE. As you've indicated, starting next season scheduling requirements have been lifted. Sadly we'll probably see more Mt. Ida's rather than less.

Click, if you look at how rpi is calculated, it's ridiculous to for us to place limits on the on the rpi of our opponents. Our conference mates winning percentage gets equated repeatedly in rpi because you play everything team twice and then every team plays every other team twice. If we want to raise conference rpi, we need to schedule teams you can beat and beat them, not lose to better opponents.

Ugh!  I was really pulling for you guys vs. BC.  One of many devistating losses as a Hoosier fan came in 1994 Sweet 16 vs. BC.  BC upset #1 UNC in the 2nd round, and I thought my Hoosiers may be headed back to the Final Four.  IU was up 5 late in the game and someone (Damon Bailey maybe?) made a great drive to the bucket for a lay up.  It looked like a clear blocking foul.  CHARGE!  It was looking like a 7/8 point lead with time winding down and an Elite 8 matchup that was winnable for IU.  BC hits 2 3's back to back to take a 1 point lead, and the rest is history. But I digress...

Don't give up on your team.  If Pomeroy says you guys can win your conference, there is hope!

You guys battled a very solid Northwestern team (I meant to get back here after that game, but this time of year is pretty darn busy in the financial services industry, life happens, blah blah, etc).

Rutgers and Cornell are very winnable games.  They would also be very nice wins.

Good luck to the Seawolves!
