"(Carolyn Everson is a member of the board of directors for the Walt Disney Company, ESPN's parent company.)"

At least the article acknowledges the paid bias!

No worries. Soon enough there will be men playing women Lacrosse. So the physicality of the game will be much more intense. They should where chest and head protectors just like the men do.

That parent is on the board of directors for the Disney Company, so it's just some big-shot trying to raise a storm with her profile
True. But for someone of her “status” to take to Twitter to call for the boycott of an entire lacrosse program is pathetic. It’s unfortunate what happened to her daughter but I watched the replay several times and saw nothing especially egregious on the part of our defender.

2023 ILWomen Tewaaraton Watchlist: Early Season
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/slideshow/2023-ilwomen-tewaaraton-watchlist-early-season/207?slide=5

Quote
Contender: 5. Ellie Masera, Stony Brook

Masera has played more of a role as an attacker in 2023 than in years past, leading the Seawolves with 21 goals and four assists. The dynamic junior also leads in draw controls (32) as a key circle player.

NW knocked off #1 UNC today by 4. Things are gonna get interesting at the top. Our game vs. Syracuse on Wed is huge.

Wednesday’s game against #1 Syracuse is on ESPNU. I see a 5 goal Orange win but would be happy if proven wrong.
