Oh man. I don't like this. This is tough to watch.

So sad to see it end like this.

Great season, really tough loss. These may be the best 2 teams in the country.

Just crazy how they couldn't score a goal for the last 21 minutes of this game.

BC just kept running that same play at the end of the game and the defense didn't adapt- lob the ball up to their 6 footer from behind the net.

Like I said great season but this team is going to be very different next year.

This wouldn't sting as bad if the next two rounds were being played at Lavalle.

That is just a heartbreaker of a loss. Hurts.

Very tough loss. To me, the difference in the game was the inability to win drawer controls.
How old a Seawolf am I? I followed them during their Final 4 DIII hoops run in 1977-78 (they were called the Patriots then)

Tough seed (5) meant a trip on the road.

Losing Taryn Ohlmiller (key playmaker, top-10 scorer in the US with over 100-points) for the entire game proved impossible to overcome.

Draw control was a bit of an issue (credit BC on this one).

As another poster noted, next year's team will be very different...but IMHO very good as Joe tends to reload (plus Taryn, our goalie, and others return)

we were a bit sloppy, most of the day.  we werent leading into the half and a few min coming out of the halftime.

I turned off the screen the second the final goal went in, so I didn't see all the postgame BS. When did we lose Ohlmiller??

And yep, final rounds at our home field and we're not even in it. I'm seriously pissed off. Though I don't think the game being here would have made a difference at that point.

Draw control was another serious problem. BC had some very tall players catching the jump ball at every face off..

Exactly. I can't say we have a recruiting problem when we were 20-0 and #1 all year, but having that kind of size would be beneficial in games like this. I guess as in other sports, recruits see we have a great program, but then look at the conference we're in and decide to go elsewhere.

Spallina has no problem recruiting. Team lost a game by a goal in double OT. Conf has nothing to do with. BC played a bit better today. Albany mens lax has no problem recruiting either. The common theme there is that both programs have coaches that kids want to play for. The CAA in lax will not make one bit of difference in recruiting.

I agree. Tho Chrissy makes a good point about UA and SB not having a problem recruiting great athletes, I still think if SB was in a better conference our RPI would have been  better and SB probably would have gotten home field advantage through out the playoffs.
