9-4 at half.  murphy has 4,2, taryn 3,3.  SB has all but one shot on goal.

Nice to get the win tonite but USC just dominated on draw controls. Still a major question mark for SB going forward.

Beating a top 5 team by four goals on the road while being doubled up on draw controls says a lot about this team. But unless USC simply has the nation’s best draw control specialist, SB needs to narrow the gap against top teams if they hope to roll to the national championship.

agreed with the above.  what i saw-

our middies are fast.  especially kennedy.  spallina has them in shape.

our ball movement is the best in the country.  we move with crisp passes, every one is right in the box.  it's playoff form in february.  our fundamentals are great.  and some even switch hands often.

they double x quickly (kylie).  no problem; weve got another.  and murphy.

USC blew some opportunities by throwing the ball away.  with that said, they are good shooters and a great team.

one thing i think we can fix, other than faceoffs- we lost a few opportunities with what i thought were unnecessary BTBs.  then again its about putting asses in seats and building an identity and a program.  especially in a neutral site.

4. The Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week is Stony Brook’s Courtney Murphy. She tallied a team-high eight points in her return to the field since tearing her ACL, helping the Seawolves to a season-opening 14-10 win over USC.

5. No. 2 Stony Brook continued to roll with a 15-9 win over Stanford on Monday night to complete its season-opening West Coast trip. The 2017 Tewaaraton finalist Kylie Ohlmiller broke out for an eight-point performance on six goals and two assists. Her sister, Taryn, recorded five points.
