I would  like to see us bounce back next week  against Maryland . Make it a close one if nothing else.

Ouch. Tough loss at Boston University. Boston U clinches top seed in the America East. 15-14 Final from Nickerson Field....

It was a great back-and-forth and it is clear BU and SB are the 2 best teams in the league. SB wins at Albany next week they clinch the 2 seed. A loss and the playoff picture gets really murky. I see the ladies bouncing back big time and trouncing our arch-rivals!

It was a tough loss for them.  Still plenty of lax to play though.

I was there. Our goalie (back-up, mind you... not sure why the #1 wasn't dressed but I'm guessing she re-aggravated an injury in practice) made some amazing saves, and the offense is really clicking well at the right time of year. Hopefully they don't look past next week's relatively meaningless regular-season finale. I'd like to see them finish the regular season strong and be in top shape for whoever they draw in the playoffs...

What a great story line-- SBU vs. Albany in both men's and women's lacrosse. Hopefully we establish SBU dominance this weekend!

It still impresses me how Spallina was capable of turning this program around in a single year. But what amazes me more is the high level of recruiting he had in DII Adelphi. After the success at Stony Brook thanks to the Adelphi transfers it is clear that Adelphi was better than a lot of DI teams out there and that he was recruiting good DI talent. Petersen was one of the nine was elected handed conference honors and she made the All-Conference team.

This guy is a winner!! its his first season but I'm already worried about the day he decides to leave to another top DI team... lol

Tough loss, but the future is bright! It's pretty incredible how far the team came in only one year. Almost everyone returns so I think next year could be even more exciting.
