Stony Brook was streaky early in 2019 before the Seawolves were able to find consistency and hit stride in April and May. Kennedy’s production never wavered throughout, posting a career-high 100 points (84G, 16A) in addition to grabbing 124 draws, 47 groundballs and causing 15 turnovers. Entering the 2020 as one of the—if not the—top midfielders in the nation, her odds of taking home a trophy that’s been awarded more often than not to players at her position looks strong.
