Kylie Ohlmiller, Stony Brook, Attack, Sr.
-What’s her argument? A season ago, Ohlmiller broke two longstanding single-season NCAA records in Jen Adams’ points record (148) and Hannah Nielsen’s assists record (83), setting her own single-season records with 164 points and 86 assists. This spring, she’s posted 57 goals and 36 assists, bringing her career total to 224 goals and 220 assists for 444 career points. She is now just two points shy of Jen Adams’ NCAA career points mark (445), and five assists away from Hannah Nielsen’s NCAA career record total of 224.

-Last time out: In a weekend swing that brought Johns Hopkins to town on Friday evening and New Hampshire on Sunday’s Senior Day, Ohlmiller totaled 21 points. Against the Blue Jays, posted game-highs in goals (6) and helpers (5) to follow that up with a hat trick and a game-high seven assists vs. New Hampshire.

-Top performance in 2018: Ohlmiller’s had a number of highlight-reel worthy performances in 2018, but I think her most important performances came in a pair of crucial wins for Stony Brook in terms of NCAA Tournament seeding. Against Towson on March 17 (W, 13-8), Ohlmiller scored a game-high seven goals and dished out an assist. She scored five of the game’s final seven goals to keep the win in place. Two weeks prior, she posted five points (3G, 2A) in the Seawolves’ win over Northwestern, 15-10. All three sit alongside one another in the NCAA RPI ranks released on April 8: No. Towson, No. 8 Stony Brook and No. 9 Northwestern.

Brooke Gubitosi, Stony Brook, Sr.
Stony Brook’s defense is tops in the NCAA, allowing just six goals per game. Gubitosi leads the unit.
