 I think some kind of mercy rule went into effect midway in the first half, as the clock just kept running.

It's a rule in NCAA women's lacrosse, when the margin is 10 or more goals, the clock continues to run (other than during an official time out), with the exception being the final 2 minutes of each half, when standard clock rules are in effect.
