Dominant win over #13 Colorado at their place. This team does not disappoint.

Nice win for the Shewolves. Our goalie had an impressive night between the pipes.

Now if we could only  get the men to win like that against ranked teams.

It was a pleasant surprise to be able to view the Colorado game on the computer...and also was interesting  (for me) that it was indoors on what looked to be a spacious campus football/all sport  practice facility. We dominated (the game was not as close as the 15-5 score indicates).

It’s amazing during their first game of the season, how much smarter and more prepared the women’s lax team is compared to the football and men’s basketball teams!  Spallina works them hard, prepares them for actual game situations, and is not looking to be the best friend of his players.

Mental preparation is very important in any sport. Our ladies coach knows that and prepares his team.  Football , basketball you can see are undisciplined at times during a game.  Playing out of control is not an option .

Surprised to see we are Down 7-3 at the half to Denver. I’m not watching the live feed but it appears we have our work cut out for us to get back in this game.

picked up the live feed. We have to do a better job with the turnovers. It’s surprising to see. Down 8-6 with 17 and chance to go.

The amount of free position shots allowed in women’s lacrosse is utterly ridiculous. It is virtually impossible to play defense in this sport. IMO

Denver found and successfully exploited weaknesses in our team. For one, they double-teamed TO all day and nobody else was able to step up as needed. I hope Spallina has the personnel to adjust and overcome going forward because other teams are going to watch this film. Defensively, well I dunno what to say because good aggressive defense in women’s lacrosse just translates to penalties and free position shots. Very hard to watch.

Same thing has happened in college hoops, slowing down the game and cheapening the level of competition.

yep.  football too.  it's the same idea- put more asses in seats with more scoring.  there's also a safety angle too which cant be argued with.  but yes, impossible to play defense in these sports.
