2018-2019 Women's Basketball
« on: November 03, 2018, 08:34:33 am »
Thought it was time to get this topic on the board!

Went to Meet the Team event last evening and was very impressed with the team Coach M. has put together.  I expect they'll be in excellent position to compete for a championship this season.

One observation I made.  Although Cheyenne Clark still is listed on the WBB roster, I've noticed she's been missing lately from the team photos, and I didn't notice her last night at the event.  Does anyone have any insight into this, or am I just chasing ghosts?  It would be a big hit to lose her, as she is a super rebounder.

No available watch options for the Rutgers game, but followed some of it on stats.  Shooting not great, but did hold their own in the second half.  A key point is that our women were significantly outrebounded.  And, so, I REPEAT MY PREVIOUS QUESTION FROM MY PRIOR POST--- WHERE IS CHEYENNE CLARK????

I didn't realize that the team's leading scorer, Jerell Matthews, wasn't playing during the team's rough stretch in late December-January.  It'll be interesting to see how they finish out the year. If healthy, I think they have a legitimate shot at winning the conference.

Assume a lot of you know, but if you don't SBU women hoops is playing UVM at 7pm tonight at IFCU in the first round of the AE tournament. I'll confess to not seeing a women's game yet this year, but I'm going to try to get over and lend some support. Plenty of tickets available, and I hope they get a decent turnout. Good mojo might spill over to the men's side, too, I believe.
