Stony Brook's a team that reloads just like the Marylands and Carolinas of the world. They're on a mission to go further in the NCAA tournament after a disappointing and somewhat unexpected loss to Princeton in the second round after securing a bye as the No. 6 seed.

"We want to win a national championship. We want to get to the final four," Spallina said. "We just have to keep our nose to the stone and continue to improve like we have in the past four seasons."

It's rare for underclassmen let alone a freshman to be named a Tewaaraton nominee, but with a team-high 86 points for the unexpected "underdog" Stony Brook that broke the top five of Lacrosse Magazine's rankings for the first time in program history Ohlmiller was hard not to notice. And she still has three seasons to go. As people like to say regarding young stars in the game, that's scary. She's the dark horse for the Tewaaraton again in 2016.
