well here's to hoping this is hitting bottom.  but im not convinced it is, too early to tell.

It will continue to get worse until Priore and Heilbron are no longer associated with this university. Only then will things turn a corner.

I really wish we had scheduled a D2 game like Pace or American International so we could lose to them too. Would be hilarious.

Allowing 56 points against a previously winless team clearly won't be enough either..... We may genuinely be the worst program in all D1 (FCS, FBS, etc).

**** fire everyone. Sick and tired of this ****.

OUR PROGRAM IS HOT **** GARBAGE.

**** FIRE EVERYONE!!! LEAVE PRIORE AND HEILBRON AT THE BUS STOP IN ORONO.

When is it going to come to a point where enough is enough?? The loses are mounting, moral is tanking and the raises and extensions just keep coming. This ENTIRE coaching staff has no care for this program, it's very apparent. Hatch is the most arrogant of them all. Players are going to be FLOODING the portal to get away from this school that has NO care for their future. They all feel and know they made a huge mistake by coming here.  This school is literally the poster child of a socialist society.  The athletic website is so outdated. The energy is so depleted it's a vacuum at this point. So when is enough, enough???

Its been enough for a long time. It just seems like the U has no interest in improving the quality of athletics. Its a freaking shame.

A USNWR Top 58 National University and the State Flagship cannot figure out how to field a decent enough program to win at the CAA level

FIRE COACH PRIORE!!!! FIRE HELBRON!!!!!! FIRE EVERYONE DARN IT! Start fresh!

This. Enough is enough. Kick all these Bum asses out of the athletics department.

Conference and Athletics / Re: Conference Realignment Rumors

With all the uncertainty around the College Football playoff, NIL, realignment, etc, I don't think moving to FBS will have the draw it once did. Sure they're looking to move to a 5+7 model meaning one G5 a year will have access in the 12 team playoff, but honestly.... once the gulf between the SEC/B1G grows large enough, do you really think they won't bolt? Come on.....

Once the $500M from the Simons gift kicks in I wouldn’t be surprised to see SB as a top 20 public within 5 years. Of course, football will still be a bottom dweller.

Top 20 would be insane. I don't think that's all that likely, but I do think we do still have some move to move.

Football is 0-2. If you look at JMUs success and whats happened to SB over the past nine years its an embarrassment. One program skyrocketed to success and an upgrade to FBS and the other has five losing seasons in a row and is off to an 0-2 start. He should be ashamed.

It's not just JMU either.

Coastal Carolina has gone to FBS and finished a season ranked. Liberty has done the same and both were teams we frequently beat a little over a decade ago...

All three of those programs have lapped SBU and we have no chance of catching up with the current leadership. God I wish Fiore wasn't such a dumbass. He could have kept the right pieces in place to keep the success rolling and maybe have gotten SBU into a better conference...

Now we're just languishing where we're at... the silver lining here is that the G5 is going to look completely different and have a totally different place in the world of an expanded playoff starting next year... not sure SBU would have been any better off in a future watered down G5 than we are here.

Tyson Lawton scored 2 tds in the jmu win over Virginia.

Can't blame the man for wanting to go play for a competent program.

Every year is a rebuilding year at SB.

In order to REbuild something, you had to have built something previously.... this team hasn't had anything remotely close to that since the 2018 season. Five seasons of trash since then. Enough is enough.

An 0-3 start would be very bad for the team morale. the team doesnt have the talent to come back from that and they dont have coaches who can help them come back from that. if the players start quitting this early in the season it will be bad.

They play FBS Arkansas State next weekend who hasn't scored a point yet this season. They got shutout 73-0 by OU and are trailing to 0-17 at Memphis as I type this. If we had a competent program I'd give us a chance here, but we're gonna get rolled. They're abysmal, but we're even worse.

I'd take the 0-11 if it meant getting Coach P out, but they'll never do that. SH doesn't have it in him.

What are the typical NIL payouts for LAX at a school like SBU? Everything I've heard on NIL has obviously been mainly about P5 football

On a positive note the crowd was large and the weather was absolutely terrific for a night game.

And the CAA preseason poll looks to be spot on regarding SBU. Long season upcoming.

2023 CAA Football Predicted Order of Finish

1. William & Mary (13 first-place votes) – 195
2. New Hampshire (1 first-place vote) – 179
3. Richmond – 159
4. Delaware (1 first-place vote) – 149
5. Elon – 146
6. Rhode Island – 135
7. Villanova – 129
8. Monmouth – 94
9. Towson – 85
10. North Carolina A&T – 70
11. UAlbany – 64
12. Campbell – 62
13. Maine – 40
14. Stony Brook – 38
15. Hampton – 30

Suprised we were even able to get that over Hampton. This program is a trash heap and we can keep pointing the finger at Priore, but he shuld have been given the boot four years ago....

This is really falling on SH. He doesn't have what it takes and is just here to collect the steady paycheck and not actually do anything.

What did you like about tonights game that you take away as positives for next week against Rhode Island?

I like that RI played Georgia tech tough tonight, and will destroy SBU by 50 next week
They lost 42-35 at Georgia State. Honestly, they got screwed on a line call with about 1:35 left in the game.

World of difference between Georgia Tech, and Georgia STATE.
