Jared Kimbrough entered the transfer portal. He was on our radar out of HS and had a solid career at La Salle before playing a year at Hartford. Numbers aren't much, but if you're talking about adding size and a rim presence that can give you 15 minutes off the bench, or even start, I'd be on board.

No real news here but just closing the loop: No NIT and no CBI for us. No America East representation in either tournament. From the CAA, Towson (NIT) and UNC Wilmington (CBI) are still playing in addition to Delaware being in the tournament.

Ahmad Walker’s brother is dancing. He had 27 tonight for UAB—after going for 40 yesterday. Port Washington kid.

Andrew Garcia's trying to go to the tournament finally. Kent State v. Akron.

He's going to have to play a big role, especially early. One of these guys got suspended for the game, and three others for the first half.

No doubt in my mind no ban this team is in the finals. Sure Vermont was a juggernaut but its march and anything can happen would love to have a 3rd crack at them shame the AE shame Shawn helibron.

I like SH as a person, but he sucks as an AD for SB. Sorry to say that, but it's true.....

What are your top three gripes with him?

I'm not in the weeds as much with the athletic department happenings, but I see him at every game, mostly successful programs, a major conference upgrade, return of the swim program, a new bubble, new training center ... so it's pretty good from my angle, but as I said, I haven't really scrutinized the inner workings much.

What’s the largest average margin of victory for a conference tournament champion in history? Because Vermont won by 39, 32 and 39 points.

The AE stinks, and UVM’s resume isn’t especially impressive on its own, but I would not want to face them in the first round of the tournament.

I have to imagine that Grasso levels up once Bryant’s season is over with.

The transfer portal is so fascinating. Seasons end and guys immediately put themselves on the market.

Some notable names:
Nick Guadarrama, F, New Hampshire. He's a CAA caliber player.
Qon Murphy, G, New Hampshire. Probably not. He had his minutes cut this year, but he did kill us twice at our place.
Kvonn Cramer, F, Hofstra: Injuries in HS kept him from landing someplace higher. He was all-freshman in the CAA but played only 15 minutes a night this year with Estrada, Iyiola and Dunbar all transferring in.

Watching the CAA tournament, I don’t look at these teams and wonder how the heck we’re going to compete. Maybe that’s me being naive. If you take out Hofstra, we’re 7-7 against the CAA all time, with some solid recent results.

I wonder if we can get Albany in here for a buy game next year

I can’t see it, but how I would love to see Vermont stub its toe in the AE Tournament. Total massacre today though.

You easily argue Roberts/Greene over Falko, Kennedy and Williams. Such a joke. Roberts had every right to mouth off on Twitter.

First offseason offer goes to Kenan Sarvan, who was an all freshman pick at Coppin State and had a nice year at nationally ranked Mineral Area JC. Looks like a shooter first and athletic for a big guy.

Recruiting watch list: Tobe Awaka, F, Cardinal Hayes. #00 in your program.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x_5R5lES_U

6-8/240. THICK. High academic kid. There's plenty of footage of him/CH on YouTube. He reminds of the kid Paul Atkinson who started at Yale and ended up at Notre Dame ... although I see now that Atkinson is listed at 6-10. I don't remember him being that big. Maybe Dallis Joyner instead? Or the kid who one day played in the NBA?

OK, OK, maybe not.

Even with Muratori and Nahar in the fold, I don't think this would be adding too much size. No inside knowledge but he just seems like a kid we could use. As I've said, guys like this would be pies in the sky in the AE but not now.

Gentlemen, thank you. This thread was not meant to be about me! But thanks. Being on the beat (of sorts) helps me be a more knowledgeable fan, and I'm glad it has fueled your interest in and conversation about the program. It also whets my appetite to write about sports—no place better than a newsroom. I could do this all day. I was happy to stumble upon this board however many years ago and am happy to pitch in.

Looking ahead, do I know anything whatsoever about places like ELON? That would be no. But we'll (all) get there.

While Geno and Co. do their recruiting, let's do ours too. Can you find one friend to join the board? Contributors are good; readers are good too. There's gotta be more hoops junkies out there.

I really think we can ramp this up even further, especially with our recruiting scope greatly broadening. And dare I say, some day, at-large talk.
