Do all you guys remember when all our posts during the spring and summer were focused on how we had so much confidence in the running game, but had serious doubts about Negron's passing ability and the talent of our wide receivers?  So much for our predictive prowess!!!

Towson sure isn't going to be any easier.  They are really putting up some points!!

Only pluses I've seen are Eugene's ability to break tackles and Level's really good catch.. Go to hom more!!

What happened to Cosson, Did he go down too?????

Coker is out for the season.

UGH!!!  Those are two extremely talented players to have to do without!  The rest of this season is truly going to be a huge test of the team's character and depth.

One question I have is whatever happened to Chris Kenner?  I thought he was supposed to be a very talented, highly touted RB coming out of ASA this year.  Yet, I never see anything about him.  There are now four guys on the depth chart, and he's not one of them.

could someone send me a link to the depth chart. I can't find it with this new SBAthletic site. I could only find the general Roster !

When you go to the football screen, if you slide the mouse over the horizontal menu to the right of "Football", where it says "More Links", the drop-down menu will have a selection called "Depth Chart"

R.Johnson lost for the rest of the season according to Coach P last night In Seawolves Sports Weekly on Wusb.fm

That's terrible news!!  But, in the vein of "..it never rains, it pours...", I just checked out the latest depth chart.  Unless my eyes are deceiving me, neither Bernard nor Coker are on it!!!!  What???

The kid looks to be quite the athlete, doesn't he?  His excellent vision in finding the holes and the open receivers speaks well for his potential for finding the open man as SBU's future PG, don't you think?

And whats up with Level is he hurt?

I believe Coach P. indicated last week on his CAA Network interview that Level was nursing an ankle strain.  But, he seemed to think he was coming back quickly.  Now would be good, especially if Coxson is hurt!!

Does anybody have any G-2 re: the seriousness of the injuries to Coxson, Johnson or Bernard going into next week?  We could sure use those guys against 'Nova.

I noticed Dimwerius Benard DB #90 went down hard from a chop block and did not return. I hoe he's o.k. because that a huge blow to our defense ....

Also of note is that both Johnson and Coxson went down with injuries.  Coupled with Bernard, I hope all of them are minor and they'll recover quickly.  All of them played great before they had to leave the game, and it would be a real shame for the Seawolves, as well as for those kids if they don't get to enjoy the promise this season seems to offer.

I also think Eugene deserves a big SO as well for the game he played!!  The ESPN guys seemed to have fallen in love with him.

I should have heeded your warning, Hammer.  But, alas, I didn't and watched that awful thing--UGHH!!!!!!!  Two things of note, however:

1) Look at the time of posession in the stats.  SBU ran away with that statistic.  My guess is that they're even better at controlling the clock these days.
2) I gotta believe that the Seawolves have a MUCH, MUCH better defence (especially the secondary) than they did in those days.

In light of these two realities, I genuinely believe they have a real chance to pull off the upset--especially if the OL has any kind of success at all in creating holes for Marcus.

Looks like DeShaun Thrower has commited to the Seawolves based upon his official visit.  I think he's a really good get for Coach Pikiell, and helps solidify the PG situation out into the future.

If Sekunda is receiving a scholly, this would be the last one available for 2014.  If not, there is still the possibility that SBU can sign another one of the wing guys they seemed to have been after.

After what I saw of the G8iants' RBs last night, I think they could sure use the services of our man Maysonet!!  Does anybody feel Miguel could possibly do any worse than those pretenders did?  YIKES!!!!!.  How about giving him a shot, Coach Coughlin?

Per Twitter, DeSaun Thrower and his family are expected on SBU's campus today.  He's a good one!!  Apparently, he's quite the FB player, as well.  But, with Paul Jorgensen off the table, I would love to see the Seawolves get Thrower!!

PG Paul Jorgensen has verballed to GW

Rats!!!  I was really hoping that the Seawolves were going to reel him in--even though, with all the offers he was getting, I'm not surprised that they didn't.  But, in light  of the significant interest he was attracting I find it curious that he ended up with George Washington.  Do any of you agree that it seems like an odd choice given his options?

Soph DL Dimetri Russ must be hurt, I just checked the depth chart and true freshman Allen Singleton is listed in his place.

Yes, you are correct.  Coach Priore mentioned it in his weekly teleconference on the CAA site.
