Has anyone heard any info about how the search for a new coach is proceeding?

I'm really confused about the tournament arrangements for WBB.  Based upon what I see, the WNIT has Monmouth listed as an automatic qualifier and Charleston as an at-large qualifier.  Remember who was the regular season champ (and had the best record)-SBU!?!?  So, how come SBU ends up in the WBIT (it's 1st year, by the way)?

SORRY!!! MY HUGE APOLOGIES!!

The Drexel-Towson winner was DREXEL!!  So, that's who we'll face tomorrow.  Either way, it was going to be a struggle--so, GO SEAWOLVES (for real this time)

NC A&T certainly didn't roll over, and made it a tough defensive battle.  Our ladies didn't help themselves, committing 21 turnovers.  But, when all was said and done the Seawolves muddled through and are in the CAA final facing Towson, who beat us the last time in OT!!  GO SEAWOLVES!!

Just saw that Ashley Langford was named CAA COY--well deserved!  As is CAA POY Gigi Gonzalez!

The ladies had it relatively easy at Hampton.  Clark showed she still is a force, after not being so in the last couple of games.  Nd Pittman just keeps on rolling!  Both had double-doubles.  They've now clinched the sole regular season championship.  Let's hope they can go into the tourney on a high by winning the finale at (not so shabby) W&M.

Great milestone for the team yesterday.  Clark has had her troubles lately.  But this team certainly knows how to play "next woman up"!!
King has been terrific these last couple of games, and you couldn't ask more of Pittman (she's a bonafide gamer).

In looking at the bios, most of them make sense to me.  But, Keenan is a mystery.  Does she really have another season?  Seems like she's never redshirted.

Somehow they managed to get by the Dragons--a true nail biter.  Pittman was on her game, when Gonzales and Clarke were not.  Puts them in excellent position for retaining top seed.  But, it ain't over yet!

SBU WBB has suffered only 3 losses this season, which is terrific!  Unfortunately, two of those losses have been in O/T against in-conference opponents--the latest at Towson last night.  The culprit this time, according to Coach Langford, was a lack of performance (and hustle) on defense.  In general, that looks correct.  But, to me the other contributing factors were a host of careless turnovers and poor performance on the freethrow line.

Whatever, as good as they are, it's essential that they turn this around in a hurry.  It looks like the rest of the season is going to be a helluva dog fight!!

FYI. The SBU Athletic site doesn't show it, but today's game at Monmouth is on SNY at 2:00 PM.

They just keep on rollin'!  The ladies had a slow start, and things didn't go that well in the 1st Qtr.  But, as usual, Coach got them to make the necessary adjustments, and it was gangbusters from there.  Keenan was on fire!

She recently received a multi-year contract extension.  So, I'm hoping she'll at least be here for awhile.  After that, who knows?

Coach really had the team fired up for yesterday's game with Drexel (one of the better teams in the CAA), after that OT loss to Campbell!  The ladies pitched a shout out against them in the 1st quarter, and never looked back!  Gigi and Khari are a force.

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later--SBU WBB finally lost a conference game.  Many things led to the loss, like far too many turnovers and numerous lapses on defense.  But, I have faith in the coach, and suspect that the team's transgressions will be corrected sooner, rather than later.  The primary culprit, I have to admit, was Campbell's Cristobal Ezumah (28 points), who was downright unstoppable! Yet, the team did manage to get into OT.

The good news is that the team remains the indisputable conference leader!  GO SEAWOLVES!
